We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

These last couple of weeks have been interesting to say the least. There have been some fun moments, but also a few unexpected moments that were things I could do without. Life has been lifing, but thankfully there have been some good things!

I went wedding dress shopping and I found my dress! It hurt the bank account, but it’s going to be worth it. Now I have to wait over a year to actually wear it, haha. The fiance bought me a Kobo remote as a comfort after spending all that money on my dress. I love it! We also had book club where I had a yummy treat and we had some friends over for boardgames. I’m so ready for fall though. The hotter temperatures are getting annoying.

I added some more to my list of eARCs/ALCs to read recently (11): Lost and Found (ALC), The Tarot Trials (ALC), Victorious (ALC), Kissing Daisy, Catching Feelings, The View from Here, The Ash Trials, They Know If You’ve Been Bad or Good, Hate and Other Acts of Fiction, Scene Partner, and Hopeless Romantics.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: The Final Score, Anywhere With You, Whiskey Chaser, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Yesteryear, The Hero of Ages, Cubs & Campfires, The Long Game, Chase Me If You Can, and The Compound.

I’m currently reading: Ruinous Ends, Sinister, and Sidecar Crush.

Next I want to read: Just for the Plot, Half-City, and Everything was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt.

On my choice for our movie night last week we watched the 2001 movie Someone Like You! I had never heard of it, but it sounded right up my alley. I had a great time.

I’ve also been loving true crime documentaries on Netflix. Two I recently watched are: The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare and A Toxic Love Story. Both were very interesting!

The fiancé and I started watching Smallville a long time ago, but got distracted by other shows. So we decided to continue and we just finished season 1. I love all of the actors and actresses who have small parts in here that we’ve now seen in different things.

I really haven’t been listening to much music lately. But when I recently did, it was a Taylor Swift playlist.
So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Read or watch anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
