We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

These last two weeks have been pretty good. We met up with our friends (who are our maid of honor and best man) to start planning our wedding. Life got in the way of that, so we had some time to make up for. Our plans actually completely changed, but we’re happy with how things are turning out!

Last weekend, we had friends over for some boardgames that we haven’t seen in a couple of months. It was great catching up and having an amazing evening. If only it weren’t so warm, it would’ve been even better. I don’t like these hot temperatures, haha.

Since my last Royal Update I added 14 ARCs to my approved list! I’m excited for all of these: Vile Lady Villains, Love You to Death, The Final Score, The Secret to Belonging, A Date with Death, The Shampoo Effect, Soul Sworn, A Christmas Inn Maine, Solar Eclipse of the Heart, Everything We Couldn’t Say, Look What You Did, I’ve Got Plans for You, The Murder Party, and Not Another Christmas Movie.

Since my most recent royal update I finished reading: The Moon on a Rainy Day Vol. 4, Ivy Aberdeen’s Letter to the World, Aicha, Dom-Com, To Cage a Wild Bird, Komi Can’t Communicate Vol. 4, Komi Can’t Communicate Vol. 5, By the Bootstraps, All Fired Up, and Death’s Daughter.

I’m currently reading: A Widow’s Charm, Soulgazer, Startup Hell, and Playbook.

Next I’m hoping to read: Skyward, Into the Blue, and The Fake Divination Offense.

During our movie night last week we watched Crime 101. I’m not always the biggest fan of action movies, but this one was pretty good. There was a good mix of plot and action. Also, lots of big names in this one.

When I watched a documentary about boy bands a couple of weeks ago, I learned that AJ from the Backstreet Boys released his own album earlier this year. So of course, I had to take a listen! It’s a good one.
