We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
We have our first artificial Christmas tree and I have to say I’m happy with the one we bought. When we first put it up, I was a bit worried, but it was one we could get a lot fuller than I was expecting. The tree normally doesn’t get put up until the beginning of December, but I couldn’t resist. I love how cozy the tree makes the house.
Other than that, it’s been a busy couple of weeks. We went out to dinner with friends and went to see Ed Gamble. It was a very tiny venue and we were in the front row. One of our friends got picked out of the audience and it was hilarious. I also went on a little outing with my mother. It was cold, but I love seeing the city decorated.
The eARC gods have been nice to me again, haha. Since my last Royal Update I’ve been approved for the following ARCs: My Husband’s Wife (ALC), The Hiding Season, The Beast You Let In, The Rebel and the Rose, Habits of the Sea, Dolly All the Time, Winner Takes All, In Your Dreams, and Red Star Rebels.
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: He Knows When You’re Awake, The Missing Half, Riftborne, The Princess Diaries, Rivals, The Rose Bargain, Rivals to Lovers, Daydream, Alchemised, Silvercloak, and Your Heart, My Knife.
I’m currently reading: Hot Desk, Definitely Maybe Not a Detective, and Twisted Games.
Next I’m hoping to read: Seven Deadly Thorns, How My Neighbor Stole Christmas, Heart Check, and Say It Out Loud.
We’ve been in a watching old movies mood here, so our last two movie nights have been older movies. I was in the mood to watch The Princess Diaries and the week after we watched Step Up. I still love these movies as much as I did the last time we watched them.
As I mentioned in my Life Update, we set up our Christmas tree. Since then I’ve been in Christmas mode, haha, Which also means when I listen to music, it’s Christmas music.
