Fangirl’s Favorites | Ranking Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl Songs

Yesterday we got Taylor Swift’s newest album The Life of a Showgirl and of course I have been listening to it non-stop. Tonight I’m going to the cinema to watch the release party movie thingie and I’m really excited. After the release of The Tortured Poets Department I did a ranking of the songs and I figured I would do one today as well. I just looked at that ranking and had to laugh, I put How Did It End? as one of my least favorite songs, but by now that’s actually one of my favorites haha. So today’s ranking might not hold up for long either haha. Either way, let’s jump in!

12. Wi$h Li$t

11. Honey

10. Wood

9. Eldest Daughter

8. Actually Romantic

7. Opalite

6. Ruin the Friendship

5. Elizabeth Taylor

4. Father Figure

3. The Life of a Showgirl

2. The Fate of Ophelia

1. CANCELLED!

This was hard!!! My number 1 and number 12 were clear, but everything else wasn’t haha. I really enjoy this album, Actually Romantic on 8 is still such a bop, as is Wood on 10. So far this is a no skip album for me, although Wi$h Li$t might be a song I’ll skip every now and then. I’ve seen a lot of critique on the album and the lyrics, but I really enjoy it! The songs are catchy and funny and I have a great time listening to it all. It’s a very different vibe from the previous album, but I love that we have such different era’s. Whatever you’re in the mood for, there is always an album for you!

Like before, this ranking might change after a couple more listens. For now, I’m really excited to go see the movie tonight! Have you listened to the album yet? What are your favorite songs? I would love to hear from you down below!

  1. For me, Honey is definitely #12 and CANCELLED! definitey #1 as well. Ruin the Friendship will also be in my bottom half. It’s not that I dislike these songs, but I just can’t vibe with them really. I don’t know. I’m planning to do a track-by-track sort of review thingie today.

    Have fun at the cinema!
