TTT #402 | Books on My Fall 2025 to-Read List

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books on My Fall 2025 to-Read List. As you might know I don’t usually make a TBR for myself. Then again, I do enjoy talking about the books I would like to read the coming season. So let’s take a look at my possible Fall TBR!

1. Apprentice to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer

I think this is a great fall book and I’m really excited to finally dive in. The first book in the series was amazing and I laughed out loud multiple times while reading. I have really high hopes for this one and hope to read the third book in the series afterwards.

2. Legends & Lattes – Travis Baldree

This title already gives me fall vibes! Combine it with the orange on the cover and I think this might make for a great fall read. I also love reading fantasy in the fall and since this is a cosy fantasy that is perfect. This book has many raving reviews and I’m really curious.

3. Bloodwitch – Susan Dennard

I have been saying I need to read this one for way too long now! The last book in the series will be out in November, so once again this is the perfect time to finally read this one. Afterwards I can read book 4 and be ready for book 5 right on time. Hopefully these are just as good as the first two books in the series.

4. The Future of Another Timeline – Annalee Newitz

I recently read a novella by Annalee Newitz and I loved it! Since I also love books about time travel, it seems about time I finally pick up this one. Books about time travel can be hit or miss, but I always love reading what the author imagines for how it would work.

5. The Atlas Six – Olivie Blake

Something about a dark academia book just screams fall to me. This has been really hyped and for a while everyone seemed to read it. I didn’t jump on the bandwagon right away, but I am still curious and would love to finally read it this fall.

6. Every Exquisite Thing – Laura Steven

Talking about dark academia! This is another one and by an author I adore. Laura Steven is a wonderful human being and she wrote some great books. I hope this one is as good as some of her other work. This is a retelling of The Picture of Dorian Gray and it’s been awhile since I read a retelling.

7. The Priory of the Orange Tree – Samantha Shannon

This is a huge book, so it would be quite the achievement if I actually read this one this fall. I do also own the audiobook, that might be the better way to go for me. Some of my friends read it and absolutely adored it, so I do have high hopes!

8. Not Even Bones – Rebecca Schaeffer

It’s been quite a while since this one was released and I haven’t really heard anyone talk about it. This was marketed as Dexter meets This Savage Song, two things I love! It has pretty good reviews and I’m really curious about it.

9. Strange Grace – Tessa Gratton

A fantasy about human sacrifice and a witch who once made a pact with a devil, sounds like a fall read to me! I have heard amazing things about this book, but it also seems like it isn’t for everyone. Hopefully it will be one I’ll enjoy!

10. Give the Dark My Love – Beth Revis

This is a book about an anti-hero, something I love reading about. It’s also about necromancy and grief and I’ve read great things about it. I think this might be just the book for me and I really hope I’ll enjoy it. This is the first book in a duology and I would love to read both this fall.

These are 10 books I would love to read this fall! Which one do you think I should pick up first? Let me know down below!
