This week I bought one of my most anticipated games of 2025 and of course I wanted to share my initial thoughts on it with you all. I am talking about Tiny Bookshop, so it’s the perfect cozy game for us bookworms. Let’s jump in!

Leave everything behind and open a tiny bookshop by the sea in this cozy narrative management game. Stock your tiny bookshop with different books and items, set up shop in scenic locations, and run your cozy second-hand bookshop while getting to know the locals.
I got this game on Switch, but you can also get in on Steam. It’s an indie game and I’m so happy it got released on Switch so soon. This is such a cozy game and I wanted to be able to play it while laying on my couch or when I’m on the go, so the Switch is perfect.
Tiny Bookshop is a management style game and that is something I really enjoy. The fact that in this game you are managing a bookshop (on wheels!) makes it into possibly the perfect management game for me. Everyday you restock your shop with books from certain genres, you have the ability to buy more stock and you can change the interior and exterior of your shop. This is already a lot of fun, but there is more!
There are some chill (or at least so far they have been pretty chill) quests for you to do and you can get to know the locals through those as well. I really enjoy getting to know the characters in this and I can’t wait to see who else we will meet. So far I have unlocked 5 spots for my shop and I’m curious to see if there will be more places and if so how many. I can also imagine there might be extra content coming in an update or some DLC maybe.
And then my favorite part of the game; you get to recommend books to certain customers and all the books in the game are actual existing books! So if you’re lucky you get to recommend your personal favourite books to the customers. They have certain requests of course and you have to find a book that fits their request.
Overall this is a very chill type of management game with a theme that is perfect for bookworms. There are just a couple of choices you have to make every time and that makes it easy with just a little bit of strategising. I personally really enjoy this and have been playing longer than I was planning every time I have picked it up so far. This game was €20 for me and I’m pretty sure it’s $20 as well. There is currently a 10% sale on Steam. So far I think this game is worth the money, like I said I’m really enjoying it and since this is an indie game it seems like a fair price. The graphics are cute and I’m already excited to dive back in!

This sounds so cute
