We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

When you are reading this, I am on my way to France. I’ll be going there by train, first to Paris as I’ve done before. And then I have to change stations (luckily I have 1,5 hours to do so) to get on the train to Nevers, where my parents will pick me up. I’m really excited to finally go to their house again, it’s been ages! It will hopefully be a time of chilling, reading books, dipping my feet into the pool, eat a lot of good food and drink more wine.

My second week of summer holidays I went to Europapark with my brother. We had so much fun! Even though the weather wasn’t great, there was a lot of rain, we did all the rides we wanted to do and eat some great food. It was a lot of fun and I’m sure we’ll be back to Europapark at some point.

No new eARC’s this week! I hope to finish one or two eARC’s while I’m in France, let’s hope I can make that happen!

I have actually finished books this time! First book I read was We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter, the other was Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab. I’m still reading Automatic Noodle, but I hope to finish it today actually. After that I will probably read one of the books from my ‘Books I’m Bringing to France‘ post.

A week at home with lots of rain means I’ve been watching a lot of TV shows haha. I’ve watched the newest season of Wednesday, Untamed, Ballard, the first season of Bosch, the Diplomat, a couple of episodes of Countdown and most of season 7 of The Rookie.

I’ve discovered a new podcast; Plottwist by Victoria Aveyard and Soman Chainani. They talk about all kinds of things writing related and I’m enjoying it a lot!
