We have a lot of eARC’s and we want to promote them a little bit more. So we decided to do some more Bookish Beginnings On Friday. Today I wanted to share the beginning of Julie Tudor is Not a Psychopath. I recently learned of this book and got really excited about it. So as soon as I finished my previous eARC I wanted to dive into this one. Today I want to share the start of the book, so let’s go!
Julie Tudor is Not a Psychopath.
Julie Tudor is 49 and has it a fantastic job (well-maintained spreadsheets are the lynchpin of an efficient office), a beautiful house (some may wonder how she got the money for it, but nothing has been proved) and the man of her dreams.
Julie Tudor is Not a Stalker.
Sean is 25 and the love of Julie’s life. The only problem is, he thinks he’s in love with someone else.
And Julie Tudor is definitely, definitely not a serial killer.
But Julie has found herself in a similar situation before. And if there’s one thing Julie knows, it’s how to get rid of the competition…
After all, what’s a little murder in the name of true love?
Sean’s unhappy ‘ummph’ as he bounced down the last four stairs convinced me the pulley system was not going to work. Even with gravity on our side, getting him down had been a difficult job. Getting him back up was going to be a Herculean feat.
Knowing what this book is about makes me pretty excited about this start haha. I wanted to keep on reading right away! To me it sounds like our main character kidnapped her ‘true love’ and I can’t wait to find out how she got herself in this situation. I think the writing style might be pretty make or break in this book, the premise is of course a bit ridiculous and that only works with certain writing styles in my opinion. Based on the first bits of the book, I have high hopes!
Was this book on your radar? What do you think of this start to Julie Tudor is Not a Psychopath? Let me know in the comments down below!
