Down the TBR Hole #149

Since my last Down the TBR Hole post, I actually managed to read three books off of my want to read shelf on Goodreads. I’m not sure when this will happen again, so I’m proud of it!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 554 (my last post ended at 557. So that’s three books less since the end of the last post.)

The Paper & Hearts Society – Lucy Powrie
Keep

There Will Come a Darkness – Katy Rose Pool
Remove

Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow – Jessica Townsend
Keep

Tarnished Are the Stars – Rosiee Thor
Remove

The Boy in the Red Dress – Kristin Lambert
Remove

The Last Post – Renee Carlino
Keep

Becoming the Dark Prince – Kerri Maniscalco
Remove

Defy the Night – Brigid Kemmerer
Remove

Darling – K. Ancrum
Remove

Hunting November – Adrianna Mather
Keep

This week was pretty successful! There was a book I already read this week, but also some books I’m not sure I’ll read anymore. It’s interesting to see books I haven’t thought about in a while!

Removal Percentage: 60%
Current “to-read” shelf: 548

We’re one post away from the 150th Down the TBR Hole post! We’re slowly getting back to the 500 books on my want to read shelf. I wonder how far I’ll get before the end of 2025. Have you read any of these? What books should I read? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
