We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

I really like the Witchlands series by Susan Dennard so of course I was interested in whatever she would write next. But the synopsis for this book was also just really intriguing to me, so I would’ve added it to my wishlist no matter who the author was I think.

I love reading mystery books, and the fact that this has a rivalry, a good romance and a curse makes it even better. The early reviews are very positive and added some selling points for me as well. Apparently there are 90s references and this is supposed to be perfect for fans of CW’s Nancy Drew (one of my favorite series from the past couple of years) and the first season of Riverdale (easily their best season). Sounds like a book made for me!

According to the reviews there is an amazing female friendship, a fun prank war between schools and possibly a rivals-to-lovers romance. After reading those reviews I’m even more excited for this release and I would love to get an eARC haha. Are you excited for this release? And have you read anything by Susan Dennard before?
