We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is a Halloween freebie, so I’m going to talk about the thrillers I want to read soon. I associate those with spooky season and the dark and rainy days we get this time of year. So let’s take a look!

Suddenly a Murder –
I’m a big fan of locked-room mysteries and Suddenly a Murder sounds right up my alley. Our characters are all at a 1920s themed party and one of them is murdered! I can’t wait to see how all of this plays out.

Then Things Went Dark – Bea Fitzgerald
The idea of a murder taking place on a reality TV show has me so intrigued. I know this is going to be so dramatic and probably a bit much, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from a story like this.

Midnight is the Darkest Hour – Ashley Winstead
Ever since reading In My Dreams I Hold a Knife, I’ve been wanting to read more by Ashley Winstead. I’ve heard some mixed reviews about Midnight is the Darkest Hour, because it has quite a few Twilight references, but that actually makes me very curious.

First Lie Wins – Ashley Elston
First Lie Wins is a book I heard a lot about before it released at the beginning of the year, and I’ve been wanting to read it since. I believe our main character is pretending to be someone else? That’s all I can really take from the synopsis.

Middle of the Night – Riley Sager
Our main character returns to the town where his best friend disappeared from years ago when strange things start happening in the middle of the night. This causes him to start trying to figure out what exactly happened that night. Hopefully if I read this, I’ll finally start catching up with more of Riley Sager’s books.

No One Can Know – Kate Alice Marshall
Three estranged sisters are forced back together 15 years after their parents’ murder. It’s interesting to see that one of the sisters was originally a suspect, but that it’s still unsure who is actually behind this murder.

The Mystery Writer – Sulari Gentill
Earlier this year, I read The Woman in the Library by this author and was pleasantly surprised. An aspiring author falls in love with her literary idol, and finds him murdered the day after she sends him her manuscript. I don’t need to know more to want to pick this up.

The Night of the Storm – Nishita Parekh
The idea of a murder taking place in a house during a hurricane is pretty interesting. No one can leave, so what’s going to happen? The Night of the Storm sounds like a great rainy day read.

That Night in the Library – Eva Jurczyk
Locking yourself in a library at night where you’re not supposed to be to do a ritual is just asking for problems if you ask me. One of the students drops dead, and it seems more follow? What is going on? I’ll definitely be reading soon to find out.

Nightwatching – Tracy Sierra
Our main character is stuck at home during a blizzard with her children when an intruder enters the story. I have to say that would be one of my worst nightmares. I know I won’t be reading this book at night or when I’m in bed before going to sleep.
So here are ten thrillers I want to read soon. Thrillers are something I don’t read enough of, because I do enjoy them when I do. What are some of your favorite thrillers? Or what thrillers are your TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.

First Lie Wins looks like a good read.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I haven’t read any of these books, but No One Can Know sounds so cool!
