We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Things haven’t been very exciting the past two weeks. I went and chose new glasses and had some relaxing time at home. We also had our monthly game night. April really flew by. The weather still hasn’t really given us Spring and it’s been really wet. Perfect reading weather!

Last week I ended up hurting my finger at work, so I had a unplanned week off of blogging. So I need to get ahead again. Thankfully I should have some time for that this week. It was King’s Day here, but my boyfriend was sick, so we didn’t do anything special. On Saturday we had our in person book club and went to grab some drinks and a bite to eat with a few after that. It was a lot of fun and a great group.

Since my last Royal Update I have five new eARCs that have been added to my Kindle. There are so many amazing books releasing this year.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve finished reading Coach, Fourth Wing, Weak Side, The Neighbor Favor, Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers, Out of Character, and Saga Vol. 1.

I’m currently reading Brutal Obsession, Best Men, If Only You, and I Like You Like That.

Next I plan on reading A Darker Shade of Magic, She Is a Haunting, and Regretting You.

This week I had a book adaption announcement, cover reveal, and book announcement I’m excited to share. So much has been going on in the bookish world lately!

 

Once again, my shop log isn’t going to be very exciting. I didn’t buy anything to talk about here.

We’ve been continuing with our weekly movie night on Sunday and since my last Royal Update I’ve watched two good movies. We watched Shazam: Fury of the Gods and Rocketman. I enjoyed both of these more than expected. It’s been fun watching at least one movie a week.

I was recently listening to a pop playlist and heard a song by Katy Perry I wasn’t familiar with. When I looked it up, I realized that I never listened to this album. I should’ve sooner, because I’ve been enjoying it!
