We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Fierce heroines. Inhuman heroes. Love that can turn the tides of fate.
Introducing Mortal Enemies to Monster Lovers – a series of standalone fantasy romance novels by seven different authors, designed to be read in any order.
Together, they feature steamy enemies to lovers romance with nonhuman love interests and a complete HEA for each story.
Brought to you by bestselling authors, Carissa Broadbent, Clare Sager, Candace Robinson & Elle Beaumont, Jessica M. Butler, Helen Scheuerer, and Miranda Honfleur, Mortal Enemies to Monster Lovers is perfect for fans of From Blood & Ash, The Bridge Kingdom, and King of Battle and Blood.
With vampires, shifters, frost kings, naga and shadow wraiths, as well as morally grey leads, forced proximity, epic quests and more, these scorching romances are bound to keep you turning pages late into the night.
Slaying the Vampire Conqueror is the first of the standalone fantasy romances in this ‘series’. Carissa Broadbent said it is set in the world of the Crowns of Nyaxia and that timeline-wise it will take place basically parallel to The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King (book 2 in the Crowns of Nyaxia series).
I loved the first book in the Crowns of Nyaxia series, The Serpent and the Wings of Night, so when I saw there was going to be a standalone story in the same world I was interested right away! This one releases April 27th and book 2 releases April 14th so you know what I’ll be reading that month.
Hopefully there will be some Easter eggs in this one for the fans of the main series, I plan on reading them soon after the other so all the details will still be in the front of my mind. I don’t know that much about this book, just that the main characters are named Sylina and Atrius and that’s basically it. Knowing it’s enemy to lovers was what drew me in next to the setting.
I’m very excited for this book and to read more by Carissa Broadbent after loving The Serpent and the Wings of Night! Had you heard of this author, world or upcoming series of standalone romances yet? Let me know in the comments!
