We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
I’ve had two very busy weeks at work with a colleague being sick and the end of my studies finally in sight. On the weekends I haven’t been doing much else but I have been out to dinner a couple of times these past two weeks haha. Somehow I haven’t taken any pictures though!! I have to be more mindful of that from now one. Some fun things coming up so hopefully more to share next time.
I got one new eARC, The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager. Riley writes some amazing thriller books and I really liked the ones I read before. Hopefully this one is just as good!
I finished both The Summer I Turned Pretty and It’s Not Summer Without You. Before the show aires I also want to read the third book but I’m not a huge fan of the series to be honest. I’ll try to write my reviews soon! Currently trying a couple of books but I don’t have to patience for any of them haha.
TJ Klune has announced a new book; In the Lives of Puppets. It’s a stand alone fantasy and it sounds like it has that wonderful family dynamic we all loved in The House In the Cerulean Sea. I think we’re all going to love this a lot!
I still haven’t been watching a lot but I have binged two shows, one of them was the Lincoln Lawyer, the other one the final season of Who Killed Sara. The Lincoln Lawyer was AMAZING and I hope we get a second season, especially after that scene at the end. While the final season of Who Killed Sara was my least favorite of the show overall, I did enjoy watching it and couldn’t stop until I’d seen all of the episodes haha.
I’ve been binging the newest season of CounterClock. This is a true crime podcast and it follows one case throughout the season. Delia is an investigative journalist and I really like her storytelling. Would highly recommend this show!
And that was my royal update for the week! Not super exciting but I’m happy to have finished some books and tv shows haha. On to the next one!
