Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

A Life No One Will Remember. A Story You Will Never Forget.

France, 1714: in a moment of desperation, a young woman makes a Faustian bargain to live forever and is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets.

Thus begins the extraordinary life of Addie LaRue, and a dazzling adventure that will play out across centuries and continents, across history and art, as a young woman learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world.

But everything changes when, after nearly 300 years, Addie stumbles across a young man in a hidden bookstore and he remembers her name.

As you hopefully know, I absolutely adore Victoria and everything she does. So of course I want to read this book. After hearing her speak I want to read every single thing she ever wrote! And while I now own all of her books I still have to read a couple of them. Victoria has been posting about Addie for quite a while now so this book has been on my radar for ever haha.

This synopsis sounds wonderful and knowing Victoria, the story is going to be so interesting. I love her characters and I’m sure Addie will be no different. Historical fiction is a genre I used to love and am getting back into, so I’m excited this falls largely into that category!

Did I mention I have an eARC? You can bet I will reading this one soon so you can expect my review hopefully before the releasedate. Are you excited for Addie? And are you a V.E. Schwab fan like me? Let me know in the comments!
