The last week of March is already here! Can you believe it? Spring has started and we are ready for some new books! Will it be another month filled with anticipated releases or will we finally get a bit of an easier month? Let’s take a look at our anticipated April releases!
Ruthless Gods – Emily A. Duncan (April 7th)
The Wicked Saints is a book we both loved, so we’re really excited about the sequel. A lot happens in the first book, so a reread is on the list before diving in to Ruthless Gods! I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Chosen Ones – Veronica Roth (April 7th)
I haven’t read anything by this author since Divergent, so it’s been awhile, haha. Chosen Ones is the first book in a new series and the first adult series by Veronica Roth. Heroes that saved the world when they were teenagers and are still remembered years later. I’m really curious about this one.
Meet Me at Midnight – Jessica Pennington (April 7th)
Meet Me at Midnight is a book I’ve already had the chance to read. As a contemporary lover I’m a big fan of this author’s work and she didn’t disappoint with this one. I have a feeling that a lot of readers will agree that this is a perfect summer read. Click on the title to see my review!
What I Like About You – Marisa Kanter (April 7th)
There is something you need to know about me, if a book has booklovers or bloggers I need the book. What I Like About You has another element I love, online relationships changing to in real life. This is something I really need in my life and already have it pre-ordered!
Elysium Girls – Kate Pentecost (April 14th)
There is a bunch going on in the synopsis of this one but I see some interesting things. A girl gang of witches, a demon longing for humanity and a ten-year game between Life and Death. Give it to me now!
Time of our Lives – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka (April 21st)
I love that this is set at the end/after high school. Our main characters meet at a college tour in Boston. It seems like a cute story with some hard hitting elements. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this author couple that writes together.
Verona Comics – Jennifer Dugan (April 21st)
Two teens fall in love in an indie comic book shop. Do I need to say more?!? That’s all I needed to know before wanting this book! The rest of the synopsis also sounds amazing and is definitely on my wishlist.
Queen of Coin and Whispers – Helen Corcoran (April 23rd)
A queen falls in love with her female spymaster. Already intrigued! The early reviews are praising this one hard. Also, look at those gorgeous cover.
Clique Bait – Ann Valett (April 28th)
This YA mystery thriller sounds wonderful! Pretty Little Liars meets Burn for Burn. I loved PLL so that already a plus. And I saw a review mentioned fake dating, something else I L-O-V-E. Can’t wait!
Incendiary – Zoraida Cordova (April 28th)
Isabelle has read books by this author before and really enjoyed them. Incendiary sounds like a great start to a new fantasy series. Add a stunning cover and I’m sold!
Goldilocks – Laura Lam (April 30th)
This is an adult sci-fi about the first all-female mission to a planet in the Goldilocks zone. They are humanity’s last change to find a habitable planet since Earth is in environmental collapse. And that’s where I stopped reading the synopsis because it’s all I need to know haha.
The Girl and the Stars – Mark Lawrence (April 30th)
While I still haven’t read a Mark Lawrence book I keep adding them to my TBR. Hopefully 2020 will be the year I start reading Mark Lawrence and I will for sure pick up this book set in the same world as Red Sister.
A smaller list this month, but still one we’re super excited about! Which April releases are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments!
