TTT #94 | Books I’ve Read That I’d Like In My Personal Library

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books I’ve Read That I’d Like In My Personal Library. My e-reader has been a blessing when it comes to lack of space or even taking books with me while on my way to work. Here are some books I’ve read as e-book, but really want on my shelves. I’ve read 200 books this year, so these are only a few that I would love to have!

Small Spaces – Katherine Arden This middle grade book that was on my radar quite some time and I finally read it not too long ago. Small Spaces was read now on Netgalley and so good! I see this as a perfect Halloween read and pretty spooky for a middle grade book.

Going Off Script – Jen Wilde I’m a big fan of contemporary stories and Jen Wilde writes the ones you don’t want to put down. I loved the characters and setting in Going Off Script. Everyone who loves a fandom will definitely be able to relate to this diverse book!

The Redefining Me Trilogy – Michelle MacQueen & Ann Maree Craven Not only are these covers stunning, but the messages in these books are so important! I couldn’t put any of them down. I will be keeping an eye on both of these authors!

Guarded Dreams – LJ Evans Not only is this author the sweetest person, but her books are amazing. Guarded Dreams is over 400 pages and it still didn’t feel like enough. My favorite thing about her stories are the playlists she uses. Each chapter gets a song!

Off the Record – Taylor Danae Colbert Rock star romances normally always have main characters who have lost their way and other major issues. Off the Record gave us something totally different. I flew through this book and loved Dax. He definitely wasn’t the typical rock star.

Wicked Saints – Emily A. Duncan The cover of Wicked Saints and what you find under the dust jacket is already a really important reason to want to add this to my personal library. It’s stunning!! On top of the stunning cover, the story is amazing. There are so many twists and turns and I’m anxiously awaiting the sequel.

Varsity Girlfriends Series – Kayla Tirrell, M.F. Lorson & Daphne James Huff All three of these authors have been added to my lists of favorites. They all manage to write characters I end up loving and stories that leave a smile on my face. The Varsity Girlfriends series is a fun YA sports romances that all have amazing covers!

Lifel1k3 – Jay Kristoff If you’re looking for an author who isn’t afraid of twists and turns and bad things happening to his characters, Jay Kristoff is the author for you. On top of leaving you hanging and broken, this author writes amazing stories. Lifel1k3 turned out to be so much more than I expected and I need to read the sequel soon!

Dare You to Lie & Don’t Say a Word – Amber Lynn Natusch Veronica Mars and Riverdale fans will be very happy with these two books. I couldn’t put either of these books down and this author left me guessing. I wasn’t able to figure out the mystery before the end of the book.

Blue is the Color Series – Julia Wolf Another series with rockstars, but they’re so good. Julia Wolf is able to take a group of dysfunctional characters and make your heart ache for them. I’ve loved all of the stories so far and will be very sad when Blue is the Color series is complete!

So these are only a few of the books I’ve read this year that I want to add to my personal library! What books made your list? Feel free to add your links to the comments.

  3. I’m reading Don’t Say a Word right now! I didn’t end up getting a chance to read the first one but I feel like I should have to kind of have a little bit more of a background on what’s going on in this one. It’s still good though! I haven’t tried anything else from Arden except for The Bear and the Nightingale but I am in love with that novel! Great list 🙂
