Tag | Harry Potter Honoring the Dead Book Tag

Last winter Candyce did the Harry Potter Honoring the Dead Book tag and since I’m currently rereading the whole series (again…) I thought it would be fun to do this tag as well. And when I say fun, I mean I will be torturing myself haha. So let’s get into it!
of course there will be spoilers for the whole series, it is after all about everyone that died!

The Rules

  • Thank the person who tagged you (and paste these rules)
  • Show your house pride!
  • Choose who you would bring back
  • Choose a book to represent each of the 9 characters below
  • Tag 7 other bloggers. I am never good at tagging people, so please feel free to tag yourself. Just make sure to let me know when you post this tag! I would love to see your answers.

My House

Choose Who to Bring Back

This is H A R D! And where the torture comes in haha. I love all of these characters and all these deaths hit me hard. But the ones that hit me hardest are probably Sirius and Fred! Especially after reading The Prisoner of Azkaban again I would’ve loved to see Harry live with Sirius. But I think I have to go for Fred. I love him and he had his whole life in front of him. Also, George without his twin in the world just isn’t right. And I’m not sure Sirius would ever be truly happy without James so let him rest in peace.

Sirius – A book with the best father/mother figure

Red, White & Royal Blue has the best mother ever. Alex’s mom is the President of the US and I loved how she handled everything that happened. She really managed to be a great mother while also keeping her job in mind. I was just so happy with her as a parent and would love to see more of those in YA books (although this was a NA book).

Severus Snape – A book with a redeemable character

The Shades of Magic series has a character that is definitely redeemable. I don’t want to say who it is because that’s pretty much a spoiler. But if you have read these books you know who I mean right away! We start out with a villainous character and in the end we really care about this person. If you haven’t read this series yet, get on it!

Albus Dumbledore – A book with a great mentor/teacher

I recently read Nevermoor and Wundersmith and this series has a great mentor in Jupiter. He is very reminiscent of Dumbledore and the whole series is being compared to Harry Potter so it works perfectly. I get the comparisons but I think there was just a HP feel but other than that it was a very unique story and I love it!

Hedwig – A book with a great animal sidekick

Abraxos from the Throne of Glass series is simply my favorite animal sidekick ever. He needs to be protected at all costs. I don’t have that much to see about this one, I just haven’t read a better animal sidekick than Abraxos!

Dobby – A book with a character who created bad scenes on accident

I had to think about this one for a bit! But than The School for Good and Evil came to mind. Sophie gets into all sorts of situations because she wants to get into the School for Good. I adore this MG series a lot and need to read the new books soon!

Fred Weasley – A book with your favorite sibling duo

Apart from the Weasley twins how are obviously the best sibling duo of ever! I went with the Blackthorne twins from the Dark Artifices, I adore them so much! And I just read the last two stories in the Ghosts of the Shadow Market and loved seeing them again. I also can’t wait for the Wicked Powers, is it time yet?

Nymphadora Tonks – A book with the best family feud

Little White Lies has a couple of family feuds actually! I really enjoyed this book by one of my favorite authors, Jennifer Lynn Barnes and I’m looking forward to the sequel a lot.

Cedric Diggory – A book where a character died too young / too soon

Sam from the Throne of Glass series will forever be the character that died both too young and too soon. And no I don’t consider this a spoiler because he dies before the main series even starts haha.

Remus Lupin – A book with your favorite shapeshifter

And I’m kinda sorry (but not really) to pick another character from the Throne of Glass series (can you tell it’s one of my favorite ever) but it just has the best shapeshifter I’ve ever read about. But I have to admit, I haven’t read about that many shapeshifters so I think I need to change that soon! Have any reccs?

These are my answers for this tag! It was equally fun and heartbreaking <3 Who would you save if you could save only one of them? Let me know in the comments!

    1. Thank you! Dobby is a great pick, he was so innocent <3 I guess the point of Sirius’ death was to leave Harry completely alone without parental figures and it absolutely broke my heart!!
