TTT #46| Books By My Favorite Authors That I Still Haven’t Read

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since last January Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is books by my favorite authors that I still haven’t read. I should be able to think of ten books pretty easily, haha. There are so many books that I still want and need to read!

1. Renegades – Marissa Meyer

I loved The Lunar Chronicles and Renegades has been staring at me since I got it last Christmas. Renegades was on my TBR in March so I could read it before I met Marissa, but that didn’t happen, haha. I know Isabelle loved it, so I need to get to it soon. Seeing how the next one will be released this year.

2. The Return – Jennifer L. Armentrout

She is one of my favorite authors, so I’m surprised I haven’t gotten around to this one yet. The Convenant series is so much fun. Seth was one of my favorite characters, so I was happy to hear he was getting his own spinoff. All four books are out in the series now, so I need to get at it, haha.

3. Lord of Shadows – Cassandra Clare

The Shadowhunter world is one of my favorites, but Lord of Shadows is huge, haha. I have heard amazing things about it, but also that the ending leaves you shocked. Lord of Shadows is on my TBR to read in the next couple of months. The last book in the trilogy will be released in December, so I can continue right away.

4. Vicious – V.E. Schwab

Okay, I haven’t finished A Darker Shade of Magic yet, but I have been hearing a lot about this book since the new edition came out. The second book Vengeful comes out this month, so it’s been getting a lot of attention. I really enjoy Schwab’s writing, so it’s another need to read.

5. Four Letter Word – J. Daniels

J. Daniels is becoming one of my favorite romance authors. I started this series backwards. In January, the third book Bad For You was released and I started with that one, haha. The first two were Christmas gifts, so I can start anytime I want. I know they won’t disappoint.

6. The Defiant – Lesley Livingston

To be honest, I have no clue why I haven’t read this one yet. I loved The Valiant and I got this one on release day. I mark it off as so many books, so little time. Lesley Livingston was so much fun when I met her. The world she has created in this trilogy is definitely one I need to continue with.

7. The Chase – Elle Kennedy

Another one of my favorite romance writers. Off Campus is one of my favorite series, so I can’t tell you how excited I was for the spinoff she told fans she was writing. I’m hoping this book is filled with just as much humor and sexy moments as the Off Campus series was!

8. The Speaker – Traci Chee

The Reader was such a beautiful book and I have a feeling The Speaker will be as well. Traci Chee is an amazing writer and I am really looking forward to seeing where this story will go. It’s an unique world and I have never read anything like it,

9. Hopeless – Colleen Hoover

I have read almost all of Colleen’s books except for this series and her two latest ones. So far, I have loved them all, so they need to be read eventually as well!

10. Bad Blood – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Bad Blood is the last book in The Naturals series and the only one I haven’t read. I think part of me doesn’t want it to be over. There is a mystery element in these books, so the dary and rainy weather we’ve been having may be the sign to start this book.

These are some books by authors I love that I haven’t gotten around to reading yet. Have you read any of them? What did you think? Feel free to leave your link behind, so I can check out the books you haven’t gotten around to reading yet.

  1. Oh I still need to read the Valiant, I heard that was really good. And Defiant too actually.

    1. I loved The Valiant. I read it in one day. It had some twists I wasn’t expecting.

  2. I loved The Lunar Chronicles, too, but I’ve yet to read anything else by Meyer. TBH, I haven’t even read WIRES AND NERVES yet. I think I got a little Lunar Chronicle-d out, but I still want to read more by Meyer.

    Happy TTT!

    1. I read the first one of Wires and Nerves, but need to read the second one.
Sometimes you just need a break from a series.

  3. I think that if you can read something any time you want, it’s easier to put it off. The library books I put on hold are the ones I HAVE TO READ NOW!

I’ve only read one of Marissa Meyer’s books before (Heartless) but I haven’t gotten around to reading anything else by her, yet.

    1. That is very true. They can sit there longer without an issue. You have a good point about that.
Heartless was also a book I really enjoyed.

  4. Oooh, nice! Some title I have seen before, but others that are new to me — i love TTTs like this that give me a whole bunch of new authors to look out for!

    1. Same here! I have seen some great books I may have not discovered without these posts.

  5. Gah, SAME with Defiant! I loved Valiant, and I very much need to read it. I just started Vicious, though I have always been a little… hit or miss with her so we’ll see! I never read Renegades either but I don’t know that I ever will? I just don’t know if it is my “thing”, you know? Great choices, I hope you get to them sooN!

    1. Sometimes a book definitely can give you that feeling. Like it seems interesting, but just not for you. I have that with quite a few books as well.
      I hope you enjoy Vicious!

  6. So many books on this are also on my TBR! I just got Renegades this month and I am so excited to get to it
since The Lunar Chronicles has become one of my favourite series! Also Lord of Shadows is such an amazing sequel, way better than Lady Midnight in my opinion! It’s great if you get to read it closer to the release of QoAaD since you won’t have to wait for the conclusion. After that ending in LoS the wait has been pure torture!

    1. The Lunar Chronicles was amazing indeed! I have heard that from so many people that the ending of LoS is torture. I am so curious!

  7. Isn’t it sad that I haven’t read any of these? Meyer’s is the only author on your list I have read before–just one of her books (Cinder), and I definitely want to read more by her. I would love to give V.E. Schwab a try one of these days and I have The Reader on my TBR pile. I hope you get a chance to read all of these soon! Have a great weekend!

    1. I have had that with many lists I saw, haha. There are just so many books out there. I do recommend to continue with The Lunar Chronicles. I loved the rest of it. Hope you had a great weekend as well! Happy reading!
