We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Things have quieted down since the holidays and we took down all of our decorations. It’s so weird that it’s all over. Like I said in my last Royal Update we were getting a lot of snow. And boy did we get snow, haha. All of the trains/buses were disrupted. We even had some extreme weather warnings. So I stayed in my nice and warm house. Once the snow started melting a bit we had friends over for food and games. Last week was exciting! We got to pick up our engagement rings. They’re engraved with his name in my ring/my name in his ring and the date we got engaged. I love them! And we took our furry one for her yearly check up. She got a good bill of health and she wasn’t happy with us, haha.

Publishers opened again after the holidays and I added some eARCs to my Kindle: The Library After Dark, The MASH Up, Only Friends, Shadow Reaper, Our Wicked Gifts, Thornbird, Paper Cut, Books & Bewitchment, The Fox and the Devil, and Here Lie All the Boys Who Broke My Heart (ALC).

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Your Blade My Back, The Book of Blood and Roses, The Only Pirate at the Party, What Happens in Amsterdam, Spellcaster, Is This a Cry for Help?, Delicate Escape, Half His Age, and House of Flame and Shadow.

I’m currently reading: Slow Gods, Fight, and Onyx Storm.

Next I want to read: Game Changer, What the River Knows, and A Language of Dragons.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve watched a few movies. Legally Blonde was a movie I saw years ago, but wanted to see again. My mother never saw the movie, so we had to fix that. Last weekend I also watched People We Meet On Vacation. It’s been a bit since I read the book, but I really loved how the movie turned out. And we watched Can’t Buy My Love. One of my mother’s 80s movies that she enjoyed.

Sometimes it can be fun to listen to artists I’ve only heard a few songs from but have enjoyed. Lewis Capaldi is one of these artists and I’ve been listening to his albums this past week.
So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Read or watch anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
