November is over and what did we read? Did we have a good month? Find any new favorites? Keep on reading this November wrap up to find out!
Candyce
In November I read 22 books(8 paperbacks, 4 eARCs, 3 hardcovers, 3 audiobooks, 2 eBooks, and 2 from KU). That’s still a little less than what I normally read, but after a terrible reading month in October, I finally started getting my reading groove back near the end of the month. So I’m hoping the last month of the year is an amazing reading month. But let’s talk about what I read in November.

Blue Sisters – Coco Mellors
Literary fiction is a genre I really want to read more of and Blue Sisters was high on my list. I thought this felt very realistic. Each sister is grieving in their own way and deal with their upbringing in different ways. I definitely shed a tear or two while reading this. I want to read Coco’s other book.

Holiday Ever After – Hannah Grace
As a Hallmark Christmas movie fan I knew I needed Holiday Ever After. This is basically a spicy Hallmark Christmas movie, but as a book. I enjoyed the small town, the forced proximity, and our main characters really finding their places in what they want in life.

Rivals – Katharine McGee
I really enjoyed the first two books in the American Royals series and this was another good one. I appreciated that the author definitely took a look at what it can do to someone in that position having the world watching your every move. There were a couple of predictable twists, but I am curious to see how it will all wrap up in the fourth book.

Daydream – Hannah Grace
The first two Maple Hills books were amazing, but Daydream really blew them out of the water. Henry and Halle’s story is sweet. emotional, and had little bits of humor. I love seeing these characters slowly understanding each other and letting down their walls. Halle having a book club and loving books was just an extra bonus.

Your Knife, My Heart – K.M. Moronova
I wasn’t sure I would love this because it was so hyped, but Your Knife, My Heart was definitely a wild ride! This dark military romance was definitely dark, but also had some moments that made me laugh or feel for our characters. Cameron and Emery both have their pasts and thrown into a very dark competition. That ending had me surprised. I’m happy that book two is releasing this month.

Twisted Games – Ana Huang
For some reason, I thought I had absolutely loved Twisted Love, but when I looked up to see when I read it, I only gave it 3.5 stars. Twisted Games was an enjoyable read. I really liked Rhys and Bridget and the bodyguard/royal romance is always fun. All in all, I had a great time. There were a few things in the third act breakup I wasn’t a fan of though.

Daddy Issues – Kate Goldbeck
Daddy Issues caught my eye for the title alone, but I also don’t read many age gap romances. I will say Sam did bug me a little bit with some things, but I get how she ended up where she was. Sam and Nick and had great chemistry. I appreciated that everything wasn’t perfect.

Heart Check – Emily Charlotte
I can never say no to hockey romances. Heart Check started off with maybe a bit of a misunderstanding, but in the end I really enjoyed the fact that they really misjudged the other and tried fixing that. This was a cute YA romance.

The Rose Bargain – Sasha Peyton Smith
The Rose Bargain kept on calling to me, so I finally decided to sit down and read it. I love stories when there’s a competition for a royal’s heart. This book definitely had some surprises I didn’t see coming and that ending has me needing the sequel.

Alchemised – SenLinYu
I will be honest and say I was definitely afraid of picking up Alchemised. Not only is this book 900+ pages, it’s also from a very hyped fan fiction. Alchemised is dark but had me hooked from the start. Even though it wasn’t always an easy read, I couldn’t put the book down.

Alchemy of Secrets – Stephanie Garber
Alchemy of Secrets is Stephanie Garber’s adult debut and I was definitely intrigued. I had a great time, but I never felt like we really got to know the characters in a way that had me invested in her finding the Alchemical Heart. Our main character also just goes along with everything and trusts so easily. I didn’t love this one as much as I was expecting to.

Wisteria – Adalyn Grace
The first two Belladonna books were five star reads for me and I was very excited about Wisteria. Unfortunately, this ended up being my least favorite book. I feel like it kept jumping all over the place and parts of the story that were hinted at never really got answers.

Icebreaker – Kat Mizera & Elise Faber
A hockey romance? Yes, please! Icebreaker is my first book by these two authors and I had a great time. Found family, going your own way, and taking chances were all part of the story. While I don’t enjoy third act break ups, I kind of understood this one. I want to continue and read the next book.

My Boyfriends Are All Monsters – Kimberly Lemming
I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t do monster romances. I already have a hard time with short stories, but My Boyfriends Are All Monsters made absolutely no sense to me and was way out there…

How to Break My Heart – K.T. Masen
The pretty cover and synopsis of How to Break My Heart really had me excited to read this story. Unfortunately, I just didn’t feel the chemistry between Eva and Aston and I could’ve done without some of the drama near the end. This one just didn’t work for me.

He Knows When You’re Awake – Alta Hensley
What says the holidays like a stalker romance, haha. He Knows When You’re Awake was Sloane and Cole’s romance and I had a good time. Cole is obsessed but also very protective and caring. I didn’t love these two as much as the couple in the first book, but I had a fun time.

The Missing Half – Ashley Flowers
The Missing Half is very much about sisters and I enjoyed that aspect of the story. Also, I enjoyed the mystery in this story, but the ending was one where you need to suspend your belief to go along with it.

Silvercloak – L.K. Steven
Silvercloak was a book I was really looking forward to and it started off really strong! I enjoyed her writing and the world. A world with magic fueled by pleasure and pain sounded very intriguing. Until we got about halfway through. Then is started feeling a bit repetitive and convenient at times. I am curious to see how this plays out, but I won’t be reading the sequel right away.

Riftborne – Bree Grenwich & Parker Lennox
Riftborne was a fun romantasy. I’m not quite sure where the story will get, but I do want to find out. This one hasn’t blown me away yet, but I see potential for that happening in the sequel.

The Princess Diaries – Meg Cabot
After rewatching The Princess Diaries, I realized I’ve never read the book. This will be the first time I actually say that I enjoyed the movie more. I can’t believe I’m saying that, haha. I do appreciate this story and I love that it’s actually told through diary entries. Except I prefer the things they changed for the adaptation.

Rivals to Lovers – Elise Wayland
Rivals to Lovers was interesting. I enjoyed reading about our main characters trying to create their retelling. Both of them took a different approach and I love bookish stuff in books. I enjoyed the romance, but I think I would’ve been happy with just the publishing/writing a book side of this story.

Hot Desk – Laura Dickerman
After finishing Hot Desk I’m not really sure what I read? I feel like this book was trying to be too many things at once. We had a dual timeline, a mystery, and people working at hot desks? I honestly can’t tell you what this was about.
Isabelle
I read 6 books this month, one more than in October, but once again they were all rereads. At the moment I am reading a new book, so next month I will have a different message haha. For now, just rereads, but great reads nonetheless!

Crescent City 2&3 – Sarah J. Maas
After rereading House of Earth and Blood I obviously needed to continue my reread of the Crescent City series. This was my third time reading House of Sky and Breath, but it was my first reread of House of Flame and Shadow. So I didn’t know all of the details anymore! And that made this a really fun reread. I am however really looking forward to finally getting a new Sarah J. Maas book soonish.

All for the Game 1-4 – Nora Sakavic
There is no audiobook for The Golden Raven yet, otherwise this would’ve said 1-5 haha. I adore this series and this was my third reread of the year. Before the release of The Broken Cage I will probably reread them all again haha, to be honest I could go again right now. That’s how much I love this series and these characters.
So that’s our November wrap up! Have you read any of these? Or did you find any favorites last month? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
