Down the TBR Hole #153

We’re starting with the same amount of books on our want to read shelf, but as long as I’m not adding to the shelf, I’m happy!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 529 (my last post ended at 529. So that’s the same as at the end of the last post.)

The Girl and the Stars – Mark Lawrence
Keep

The Bedroom Experiment – Kendall Ryan
Remove

The World Between Blinks – Amie Kaufman & Ryan Graudin
Remove

10 Truths and a Dare – Ashley Elston
Keep

Winterhouse – Ben Guterson
Remove

East Coast Girls – Kerry Kletter
Remove

Goldilocks – Laura Lam
Remove

All Your Twisted Secrets – Diana Urban
Remove

The Heart Principle – Helen Hoang
Remove

Loveless – Alice Oseman
Keep

So that was a very successful Down the TBR Hole post. This week we actually had quite a few books that I’ve already read, but apparently marked a different edition than what was on my want to read shelf. There are also a few that I just don’t remember.

Removal Percentage: 70%
Current “to-read” shelf: 522

I wonder how long it’ll take before I get my want to read shelf under 500 books. We’re slowly getting there! Have you read any of these books? Let me know what you thought in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
