Wishlist Wednesday | Anticipated Releases March

Today is the last day of February, so it’s time to see what books March is going to bring to us. The last two months have been pretty amazing when it comes to new releases. This is good for us booklovers, but not good for out bank accounts, haha. Is March going to be just as bad as the first two months? Take a look to see.

State of Sorrow – Melinda Salisbury (March 1st)

I loved The Sin Eater’s Daughter so I’m excited we’re getting a new story by this author. I love fantasy novels so that’s already a win and this one has a pretty interesting synopsis. I’m interested to see how the whole grief part plays into this one.

To Kill A Kingdom – Alexandra Christo (March 6th)

I think this one is a bit of an Ariel retelling! Retellings always interest me so that’s an easy sell haha. But I’m currently reading Daughter of the Pirate King and loving it so I need to read more stories with Sirens! This one sounds like it will provide what I crave 😉

Restore Me – Tahereh Mafi (March 6th)

It’s been quite a while since the original Shatter Me trilogy was released. I wasn’t extremely impressed by it but I really enjoyed Kenji and Warner so I wouldn’t mind reading more about those two!

The Final Six – Alexandra Monir (March 6th)

This sounds AWESOME! Bright teens in a space training camp training and competing to be one of the final six that will be scouting a new planet. I’ve been wanting to read more science fiction and this one combines a couple of my favourite elements. Also, that cover is gorgeous!

The Wicked Deep – Shea Ernshaw (March 6th)

Another really interesting sounding synopsis. I love that it’s about three sisters coming back to get revenge every summer but I really hope it won’t be to heavy on the romance. That would be such a waste of a potentially amazing story.

The Unbinding of Mary Reade – Miriam McNamara (March 6th)

Like I said, I’m currently reading Daughter of the Pirate King and this one is also about female pirates <3 Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my favourite movies ever and after reading DotPK I need more pirate novels! Can’t believe it took me this long to read one in the first place haha.

The Beauty That Remains – Ashley Woodfolk (March 6th)

This book sounds like one that I am going to love! Add a beautiful cover and I am sold, haha. I have a feeling this will be a very emotional story, but very touching. This is one that’s on top of my wishlist.

Olivia Twist – Lorie Langdon (March 6th)

A reimagining of Oliver Twist with Oliver actually being a girl being forced to live as a boy. We are planning on reading Oliver Twist as part of our classics challenge so it would be a lot of fun to also read this one and compare it!

Time Bomb – Joelle Charbonneau (March 13th)

When I saw this cover, I wasn’t sure what to think of it, but this story sounds pretty intense. I have never read anything by this author, but I’m curious to see how this all falls in place. A bombing is pretty intense!

Obsidio – Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman (March 13th)

I have been waiting for this book for over a year! At first I was pretty upset that the realase date was pushed back, but I do understand. It’s almost here though! Isabelle finally read them as well, so I see another buddyread in the near future!

Tyler Johnson Was Here – Jay Coles (March 20th)

I still need to read The Hate You Give but I’m sure I will love it and will want to read something similar. I think this one would definitely fill that gap and I really love cover!

Orphan Monster Spy – Matt Killeen (March 20th)

I used to read a ton of World War II novels, they’re so interesting and give me all the feels. This one sounds crazy interesting and might be my way back to WWII books. I like spy novels and I love boarding school books so this is a win-win-win situation.

The Queens of Innis Lear – Tessa Gratton (March 27th)

This is another book that is all over the place at the moment. A friend of ours read it and it wasn’t what she expected. It’s quite a big book, so I am curious to see what we think of it. Been anticipating this one forever!

In Her Skin – Kim Savage (March 27th)

Con artist, impersonating missing girl, what more can I want in a mystery novel? This one sounds right up my alley and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Not If I Save You First – Ally Carter (March 27th)

I really enjoyed the Ally Carter books I’ve read before, this political YA drama’s aren’t anything special or great but they’re very entertaining. I probably won’t buy this one right away but if I can find it on sale I will check it out.

Children of Blood and Bone – Tomi Adeyemi (March 6th)

This is a book that is all over the internet at the moment. It’s a very anticipated release this year. There is a lot of hype surrounding this book, so I hope it’s as good as everyone is saying it is!

The Case for Jamie – Brittany Cavallard (March 6th)

I read the first book in this trilogy awhile ago and I hope to get around reading the second one this year. That would make it possible to read the third one right after, so I hope that the second one was just as good as the first. I know Isabelle has the first one. Maybe if she reads it soon, we can buddyread the second and third one!

I Have Lost My Way – Gayle Forman (March 27th)

I have read a few Gayle Forman books and I thought they were beautiful. Most of the time that characters aren’t having the best of times, but I love seeing how they develop and handle situations. This book sounds like it will be that type of book again. The release date is a bit confusing. Epic Reads says March 27th and Goodreads says it comes out in April. I guess we will see when it releases.

The Exact Opposite of Okay – Laura Steven (March 8th)

This book sounds like it’s going to be amazing! I love the cover and when you look close you can see so many different details. I have an ARC of this book, so I will be reading this very soon!

Opal – Maggie Stiefvater (March 1st)

This isn’t a long book. It’s only 38 pages, but it’s a little story that takes place after The Raven King. I’m currently reading that and I don’t want it to end, so I’m hoping this gives me some peace, haha.

More Than We Can Tell – Brigid Kemmerer (March 6th)

The main character of this book is a character that we meet in Letters to the Lost. I haven’t read that yet, but this can be read as a standalone. I love the cover and it sounds just as good as Letters to the Lost.

The Prophecy – Jennifer L Armentrout (March 20th)

This is the final book in the Titan series. I loved Seth in the Convenant series, so I know this will be amazing as well. I have been waiting for this one, so I can read them all at once. A lot of people were very frustrated having to wait for the next books, so I think I will be happy I waited when I start this series.

Tempting Little Tease – Kendall Ryan (March 20th)

I really should be ashamed that this is the fourth book in this series and I still haven’t read the first one, haha. They sound amazing, but once again I have the issue of so many books, so little time. The only advantage of this is that when I finally get around to them I should be able to read them all at once.

March still won’t beat January when it comes to the amount of releases that we think look interesting, but it’s another full month! What releases are you looking forward to? Did we miss any?

  1. I have the wicked deep as an arc and I preordered children of blood and bone. I’m also getting Tiger’s Dream, King of the Seven Lakes, & Alphas Like Us

  2. Yaaaaas to this list! I’m reading Children of Blood and Bone now, and will start The Wicked Deep soon. I also have Tyler Johnson Was Here on my list, as well as To Kill a Kingdom! 😀

          1. Yeahhhh January is generally insane for me, haha. But yeah, I think I fell behind on my reading that month, which then spilled into Feb. Sigh.

  3. I can’t believe how many books are being released this month! I cannot wait for Obsidio to be released even though I’m yet to read Gemina :’)
