As a book lover I’m always amazed by the stories and world authors are able to create. That’s why I also love learning more about the authors behind the books I read. Heather Mateus Sappenfield has a book releasing on February 1st: The River Between Hearts. I have the honor of interviewing this author. So keep on reading more to find out about this upcoming book and more about this author.
We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Portrait of a Thief – Grace D. Li”
Every year we try to set ourselves some goals. At the end of 2021 we set our 2022 reading goals but today we want to give the final update on the 2021 reading goals we set about a year ago! We gave an update (part 1 and part 2) about half way through the year so you might have an idea whether we actually reached our goals. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 2021 Reading Goals: End of the Year Update”
We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is most recent additions to my book collection. Seeing how we just did a bookhaul this topic doesn’t seem necessary. So I decided to take a go at next week’s topic: Books I Meant to Read in 2021 But Didn’t Get To. There were more than 10 releases I didn’t get to, but here are ones that are getting priority in 2022.
The past week we’ve been talking about the books we read in 2021. Thankfully we both read a lot of books and if you want to see what books we loved you can look back at the lists of our favorite graphic novels/manga, romances, backlist books and 2021 releases. Today we want to talk about our most disappointing reads of 2021. No, this isn’t a post to just say how bad books are. We just want to talk about the books we thought would be 5 stars and just didn’t turn out to be that way. Keep on reading to find out more!
We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
This week was all about our favorite books of 2021. But we also watch a ton of tv shows so of course we had to include a list with our favorite tv shows as well. Today it’s time for my list and next week will be Candyce’s turn. I will only talk about tv shows that had a season in 2021, so no older shows I got caught up on. It was pretty hard to narrow it down as I watched a ton of great shows! I’m going with a top 15 in no particular order and will do honorable mentions as well (and those will be another 15 shows, oops haha). Let’s take a look! Continue reading “Show Sunday | Favorite 2021 TV Shows Part 1”
Last year we introduced a new list of favorites; our favorite covers of the year. There are so many amazing covers every year and we wanted to highlight some of them. So we stood for the difficult task to pick ten of the most gorgeous covers of 2021 haha. Let’s take a look! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 2021 Favorite Covers”
We’ve been quite busy with looking back at 2021 and have talked about favorite graphic novels/manga, romance, and backlist books this week. Today it’s time to talk about our favorite 2021 release. Last year was filled with amazing releases, so let’s see the books we ended up loving!
Today it’s time for our third list of 2021 favorites! Tuesday we had favorite graphic novels & manga and Wednesday it was time for favorite romance novels. Today we want to share our favorite backlist books we read in 2021. We read some amazing reads so hopefully you’re ready for two great list. Let’s jump in!
