TTT #344| Books on My Summer 2024 To-Read List Part 1

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is bookish wishes. I’m not really feeling that topic this week, and I enjoy making little TBRs (even if I never stick to them, haha), so I’m going to do next week’s topic. Here are ten books on my summer 2024 to read list.

Addicted for Now – Krista & Becca Ritchie

I read Addicted to You in October and since then I’ve read Ricochet. This is a series I ended up loving more than I expected, so I bought the next two books. Addicted for Now is the next book and I’m really excited to finally read more about Lily and Lo.

Summer Romance – Annabel Monaghan

I don’t think there could be a more perfect title for a summer TBR than Summer Romance. I have a feeling this may be a bit of a messy romance and emotional at times, but it sounds like a book I’ll love.

What Happens After Midnight – K.L. Walther

I actually just read The Summer of Broken Promises last month and loved it. There are two other books on my shelf by this author, so it’s time to get caught up. For some reason I love books that take place at a boarding school. The senior year prank is something our main character wants to participate in to get rid of her reputation of being a goody-two-shoes. Spending time with her ex-boyfriend may also make this an interesting time.

Crossroads – Devney Perry

Devney Perry is an author I really love, but I still have quite a few of her books to catch up on. So I decided it might be a good idea to try and stay on top of her newer releases. Crossroads released a week ago and I’ll never say no to the start of a new small town romance series.

Our Year of Maybe – Rachel Lynn Solomon

Rachel Lynn Solomon is one of my autobuy authors and I’m determined to get caught up with her backlist this year. Our Year of Maybe is one of the last I need to read to catch up, so I’m excited to check this one out. Our main character donates a kidney to her best friend and we follow how this changes their lives afterwards.

Give Me a Sign – Anna Sortino

Give Me a Sign is a book I’ve actually already started reading, but put aside when I got distracted (which happens to me a lot, haha). I took a sign language minor and love seeing things like this incorporated into books. This is something we should see more in books. Also, it takes place at a summer camp. The perfect time to sit down and finish it.

On the Bright Side – Anna Sortino

Our main character’s Deaf boarding school gets shut done and she’s sent back to a mainstream school. This doesn’t go as smoothly as hoped and the guidance counselor pairs her with a boy who she ends up connecting with. He also seems to have things he’s dealing with, so I have a feeling On the Bright Side will also be a little emotional.

My Dark Romeo – Parker S. Huntington & L.J. Shen

My Dark Romeo is a billionaire, enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience romance. I’ve heard mixed things about it, but it’s one I’m still really curious about. The cover is definitely what caught my eye.

Mile High – Liz Tomforde

Sport romances are something I just can’t seem to get enough of and Mile High is one I’ve been meaning to read for way too long. Mile High is a hockey romance quite a few of my friends have loved, so it’s time for me to see what the hype is all about.

The Mystery Writer – Sulari Gentill

I read The Woman in the Library earlier this year and it surprised me in such a good way. After reading that, I definitely knew I wanted more by this author. Sulari’s newest release, The Mystery Writer also sounds like one I’m going to love. An aspiring writer falls in love with her literary idol and fins him dead the day after she gave him her manuscript to read. That sounds interesting to me!

So here are ten books I’m hoping to read this summer! Have you read any of these? Or what are some books you have on your summer TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
