Tag| Try a Chapter: Netgalley Edition Part 13

Two weeks ago I did a Try a Chapter: Netgalley edition book tag and I have to say it was fun. I’m still really trying to increase my Netgalley feedback ratio. I have it up to 39% and did have a little recent request spree, so I want to try and keep my ratio here and only have it increase.

Today I’ll be trying a chapter of two eARCs that have already released and two that haven’t, but that I’m just really excited about. At the end of the post I’ll have to decide what older release and upcoming release I’m going to start with. Let’s take a look!

A Letter to the Luminous Deep – Sylvie Cathrall (April 25th)

After finding out that this book was told through letters, I knew it was for me. I wasn’t expecting being so curious by the little twist in the first chapter that I had to force myself to put the book down. I’ll be surprised if A Letter to the Luminous Deep isn’t a five star read!

Bridesmaid for Hire – Meghan Quinn (April 2nd)

The prologue started off just like I’m used to when reading a Meghan Quinn book. I laughed out loud and already want to know more about these characters. Maggie and Brody’s story is going to be so much fun. It also has fake dating. That’s something I always love.

This Used to Be Us – Renee Carlino (July 9th)

I actually read the first two chapters of This Used to Be Us, because they’re really short. There’s not much to really say about this yes, because there were only two separate moments in the relationship of our characters. We do get dual POV and I’m curious to see how this goes.

Long Live Evil – Sarah Rees Brennan (July 30th)

Long Live Evil definitely looked interesting when I heard about it, but I don’t remember reading the synopsis, haha. The beginning was very interesting. I loved that we start off with two characters who love a book series. It was also an emotional start with one of our main characters being sick. Getting put into the fictional world to try and save your life is one important quest. I’m excited to read more.

While I think this is a great way to help me get motivated to read my eARCs, it also makes me want to read them all at once. Especially with the two choices that have already published. So I think I need to make Bridesmaid for Hire and A Letter to the Luminous Deep a priority. When it comes to the two that still need to release, I think I’m going to go with This Used to Be Us first.

What do you think of my choices? Which ones would you like to see reviews of first? Or if you’ve read any of these yourselves, what did you think? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
