TTT #340| Favorite Book Quotes Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is favorite book quotes. I don’t really track my favorite quotes, so for this one I looked up some of my favorite books on Goodreads and picked quotes that way. Let’s see what I chose for this week!

The Exact Opposite of Okay – Laura Steven

“What do I want to be now? Bold. Fierce. Honest. A fighter. A revolutionary. A bitch. Because the way the world treats teenage girls – as sluts, as objects, as bitches – is not okay. It’s the exact opposite of okay.”

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue – VE Schwab

“Three words, large enough to tip the world. I remember you.”

Warrior Blue – Kelsey Kingsley

“There are certain thing in our lives – certain people – that are just supposed to be there. We don’t choose them, or what they’ll mean to us; they’re just a part of who we are.”

If Only I Had Told Her – Laura Nowlin

“It seems so obvious now; it matters which people you spend time with, and it matters how you spend your time, because you don’t know how much you have.”

Throne of Glass – Sarah J Maas

“Libraries were full of ideas—perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.”

The Last Letter – Rebecca Yarros

“Hope is good. Feel it. Because we have no idea what’s coming around the corner. You have to take the good when it comes, because the bad isn’t going to give you a choice.”

“Sometimes bad things happen. And there’s no blame to be placed. You can’t reason with the universe, no matter how sound your logic is … We are imperfect people made that way by an imperfect world, and we don’t always get a say in what shapes us.”

Book Lovers – Emily Henry

“That’s life. You’re always making decisions, taking paths that lead you away from the rest before you can see where they end. Maybe that’s why we as a species love stories so much. All those chances for do-overs, opportunities to live the lives we’ll never have.”

Divine Rivals – Rebecca Ross

“I don’t think you realize how strong you are, because sometimes strength isn’t swords and steel and fire, as we are so often made to believe. Sometimes it’s found in quiet, gentle places.”

“But time will slowly heal you, as it is doing for me. There are good days and there are difficult days. Your grief will never fully fade; it will always be with you–a shadow you carry in your soul–but it will become fainter as your life becomes brighter. You will learn to live outside of it again, as impossible as that may sound. Others who share your pain will also help you heal. Because you are not alone. Not in your fear or your grief or your hopes or your dreams. You are not alone.”

So here are ten of my favorite book quotes! Do we have any in common? What are some of your favorites? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
