TTT #339 | Favorite Book Quotes Part 1

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is one I’m not really feeling so I’m doing next week’s topic. I love sharing my favorite book quotes but I do have to try and pick different ones than Candyce does next week. Let’s see what I came up with!

1. Throne of Glass

You could rattle the stars, she whispered. You could do anything, if only you dared.

2. Daughter of Smoke & Bone

Have you ever asked yourself, do monsters make war, or does war make monsters?

3. Ruin and Rising

Na razrusha’ya. I am not ruined. E’ya razrushost. I am ruination.

4. Warcross

Every locked door has a key. Every problem has a solution.

5. Vicious

Plenty of humans were monstrous, and plenty of monsters knew how to play at being human.

6. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

What is a person, if not the marks they leave behind?

7. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

..it is sad, of course, to forget. But it is a lonely thing, to be forgotten. To remember when no one else does.

8. The Sunshine Court

I don’t believe in miracles, Jean said. I have enough faith for us both, Renee promised.

9. Empire of Storms

And Manon understood in that moment that there were forces greater than obedience, and discipline, and brutality. Understood that she had not been born soulless; she had not been born without a heart. For there were both, begging her not to swing that blade.

10. The Raven Boys

In his head, his mother said; people shout when they don’t have the vocabulary to whisper.

And those are 10 of my favorite book quotes! It was hard to pick and choose because there are so many wonderful quotes and a ton come from V.E. Schwab, Leigh Bardugo and Sarah J. Maas haha. But I did manage to pick quotes by 7 different authors so I’m pretty happy with that haha. What are some of your favorite book quotes? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m just about to finish Addie LaRue and I have both of those quotes highlighted. There are so many achingly sad and beautiful quotes in that book! I also love that quote from The Raven Boys. Great quote choices and now you’ve got me thinking ahead to next week and about the quotes I can share! ????
