I’m writing these posts a bit in advance (go me for getting ahead, haha), but that means that this one is already done before my last post comes online. So I don’t have a change in the amount of books on my want to read shelf. I have a feeling we’ll be changing that with today’s post though!
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Current “to-read” shelf: 718 (my last post ended at 718. So we have the same amount as at the end of the last post.)

So I normally talk about each book separately, but in most cases my reasons for taking these books off my want to read shelf are the same. Instead of sounding like a broken record, I’m just going to talk about them in general. As I said in my last Down the TBR Hole post, my reading tastes have changed over the years. Some of these books I don’t even remember and might even have a hard time finding. Also, Christmas with Billy and Me is a novella in a series I haven’t even read the first book from. So this week it’s just some housekeeping.
Removal Percentage: 100%
Current “to-read” shelf: 708
It’s very clear my reading tastes have changed over the years, so it’s a good thing I decided to start over once I got to the end of my list two posts ago. This is the first time in 126 posts that I have a removal percentage of 100%. Have you read any of these? Should I have kept any of them? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
