TTT #338| Books with Flowers on the Cover

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is petty reasons you’ve DNF’d a book. I’m not someone who will DNF a book that often. If I do that twice a year it’s a lot. So once again, I’m going to do next week’s topic instead, which is May flowers. Today I’ll talk about ten books with flowers on the cover I want to read!

The Way I Am Now – Amber Smith

The Way I Used to Be was such an emotional book and Eden has to deal with so much. After the ending of that book I was curious to see how Eden’s story would continue. The author decided to give us more and we follow Eden to college. I have a feeling this is going to be another very emotional read.

A Dawn of Onyx – Kate Golden

A Dawn of Onyx is a fantasy romance I really didn’t pay attention to when it first released, but the release of the sequel caught my attention. Not only do these have amazing covers, but the story sounds amazing as well. I mean, back-stabbing royals, dark magic, and dangerous beasts? What more could we ask for?

The League of Gentlewomen Witches – India Holton

Historical fiction isn’t something I read a lot of, but the first book in this series was just so much fun. The story felt unique and I loved the humor. I’m hoping to love The League of Gentlewomen Witches just as much.

When Haru Was Here – Dustin Thao

So When Haru Was Here doesn’t release until September, but I’m very grateful to have an eARC of this one. You’ve Got Sam was such an amazing book and I’ve been wanting more from this author. When Haru Was Here is described as Wandavision meets We Are Okay. I have a feeling this one is going to make me cry as well.

Throne of the Fallen – Kerri Maniscalco

I really enjoyed The Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy and I’m excited to read Kerri Maniscalco’s first adult novel. I love that we’re staying in the same world, but reading about the other princes of hell. The sequel, Throne of Secrets releases in September, so I need to squeeze this one in soon.

House of Marionne – J. Elle

Our main character joins a debutante society of magical social elites to hide from the assassin looking for her. She also possesses forbidden magic. That’s all I needed to know to want to read House of Marionne.

Midnight Kisses – Jeanine Bennedict

Midnight Kisses is a sports romance I added to my TBR over a year ago and I’m still excited about. This football romance with the coach’s daughter sounds right up my alley.

Cruel Illusions – Margie Fuston

Caraval meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Yes, please! While I didn’t completely get the Caraval hype, I did enjoy the story and this combination sounds really interesting. There’s also a magical secret society and a potentially deadly competition. All of the elements I love in stories.

My Dark Beast – Olivia Olivia Wildenstein

My Dark Beast is a book I’ve been interested in, because it’s Beauty and the Beast meets Hades & Persephone. I haven’t heard many people talk about My Dark Beast, but I’m very intrigued by this fantasy romance.

These Violent Delights – Chloe Gong

These Violent Delights is a Romeo and Juliet retelling that I’ve been wanting to read for quite some time. This one released almost four years ago, so I’d say it’s time to sit down and read it. Especially now there’s a spinoff series as well.

So that’s ten books with flowers on the cover that I really want to read! Have you read any of these? Or what makes you DNF a book? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Such pretty covers! I’ve read Dawn of Onyx and These Violent Delights and enjoyed both a lot 🙂 Gentlewoman Witches is still on my TBR but I’ve heard good things about it! Great list
