As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is romance. This is going to be one of the easiest topics for this meme, because my go to genre tends to be romance. Here are five that I hope to read really soon!
Swear on This Life – Renee Carlino
Swear on This Life has been on my shelves for so long now and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things. Our main character reads a book that seems to be her childhood and she’s thinking her former best friend must’ve written this book. I have a feeling this is going to be an interesting journey.
We Contain Multitudes – Sarah Henstra
I added We Contain Multitudes to my shelves after an author recommended this one in her Facebook group and it caught my eye. We Contain Multitudes sounds like an emotional story and I love the fact that our main characters communicate through letters. That’s something I love in books.
Sadie on a Plate – Amanda Elliot
As a big fan of reality cooking competitions, I needed Sadie on a Plate. Sadie has chemistry with her seatmate on the plane when she’s heading to be on her favorite show Chef Supreme. It seems that the seatmate is connected to this show one way or another (contestant or judge maybe?). This will get interesting!
Boyfriend Material – Alexis Hall
Boyfriend Material is another book I’ve heard such amazing things about and I even started reading this one. As usual, I ended up distracted by all of the other books I was reading at that moment. All I really needed to know is that Boyfriend Material has my favorite romance trope: fake dating.
The Honey Don’t List – Christina Lauren
Besides reality cooking shows, I also love shows where they remodel houses, etc. The Honey Don’t List has this aspect and even more so with two co-hosts that really can’t stand each other. Both characters need the job though, so I have a feeling this is going to be a bumpy road.
So here are five of the many romances I own that I hope to read in the near future. Have you read any of these? Or what romances are on your TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
