We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Work has been busy the last two weeks, but I’ve also done some fun things. The weather was really nice the last two weekends. I went to go get bagels with friends and did a little shopping afterward. Even though my allergies are horrific this year, I still had a great time.

Last weekend we had friends over to play some board games. We did a few missions of Marvel Zombies and won all of them. It was a little iffy at times, but we won!

Since my last Royal Update, I’ve added two eARCs to my Kindle: Silent Sister and My Kind of Trouble.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: The Veiled Kingdom, The Sword of Kaigen, Savage Lover, She’s Not Sorry, If Only I Had Told Her, Cat + Gamer Vol. 3, Cat + Gamer Vol. 4, Komi Can’t Communicate Vol. 3, In a Not So Perfect World, A Condition Called Love Vol. 1, Hot Dutch Daydream, and The Night in Question.

I’m currently reading: Sword Catcher, The Well of Ascension, Powerless, and The Poppy War.

Next I’ll be reading: Girl Abroad, The Book That Wouldn’t Burn, and Otherworldly.

For the first time in a long time I have something to show you in my Shop Log. I have a tablet/Kindle arm in the bedroom on my nightstand to read hands-free when in bed. I could use this downstairs, but it’s not easy to constantly move. So my boyfriend ordered a stand for in the living room. I’m loving it!

Last weekend the boyfriend had an evening with some friends to play a game, so my mother and I had a movie night. We watched two movies: What a Girl Wants and Irish Wish.

I also watched the Quiet on Set documentary. I grew up watching all of those Nickelodeon shows and it definitely made me look at them differently. A lot of awful things happened behind the scenes.

I was listening to Spotify recently and it switched to songs I might like, and a song by JoJo popped up. So I decided to listen to one of her newest albums.
