We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Last week was my first week back at work after my vacation and it was rough, haha. You’d think going back after two weeks of relaxing wouldn’t be so bad, but it was. So other than working I didn’t do a lot during the week. On Saturday we had a little game night with some book club friends. It was a lot of fun, but I was so tired on Sunday. Socializing always drains my battery. Even if it is fun!

I received an eARC of Bridesmaid for Hire and I’m so excited. Meghan Quinn is one of my favorite authors and this book sounds amazing.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve read: I Only Read Murder (DNF), Check & Mate, Faebound, Hate Mail, Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead, Annie Bot, and What I Like About You.

I’m currently reading: Sword Catcher, The Crimson Moth, The Sword of Kaigen, The Well of Ascension.

Next I’ll be reading: Only and Forever, Otherworldly, and a Letter to the Luminous Deep.

Last week during our weekly movie night, we watched Book Club: The Next Chapter. I enjoyed the first movie and the second one was a lot of fun as well. I’m glad I chose this for movie night.

Ariana Grande released a new album and I decided to give it a go. I’m really enjoying the songs on this one.
