We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is weird or funny things I’ve Googled thanks to a book. I actually rarely Google something because of a book. So I decided to already do next week’s topic: Books I’m Worried I Might Not Love as Much the Second Time Around. I don’t know if I’ll have 10 books, but we’ll see how far I get!
Twilight – Stephenie Meyer
Twilight was the series that really got me invested into reading again. I mean I’ve always read, but after reading these I started reading a lot more every month. Since then I’ve read other vampire stories and paranormal romance. I don’t know if these will live up!
After – Anna Todd
I devoured this series in 2015! Yes, the relationship is this series is very toxic and the relationship gets very frustrating. That being said this series was so addicting and the books aren’t tiny.
Confessions of a Shopaholic – Sophie Kinsella
Another series I couldn’t put down, but while I enjoyed it a long time ago, I don’t know if it’d still be for me. I say that mostly because I read the Christmas book this author wrote in the series a couple of years ago and it just didn’t really work for me.
Divergent – Veronica Roth
I haven’t read many dystopian books, but I enjoyed all of the books in this series except for the final one. The ending is something I still don’t agree with after all these years, haha. Again, I’m not sure if these would still hold up for me after all of the other books I’ve read since.
So for some reason, I can only think of these four books. Well, if we count the series, we would be talking about more than 10 books. What books are you worried won’t meet up the second time around? Or let me know what funny things you’ve Googled because of a book you read? Let me know! I’d love to hear from you.
This is a good idea for a topic.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Twilight got me reading a lot more too.
I’m guessing Twilight and Divergent would still be good a second time around. At least Twilight was for me. As for After, yeah, I don’t think that one would be. I was addicted to reading them, but it felt more like hate reading.
I wonder if I would like Twilight the second time around. My taste has changed sooo much from then, but I wonder if the nostalgia would help.
