We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I had a week off from work so I spend that time trying to rest and regain some energy. After some hectic weeks at work and a lot of emotions I was really drained. And to be honest, I’m still not completely there. I realised that I have to take more time for myself throughout the week as this is not sustainable. This past week I have been enjoying watching Netflix, playing computergames, building LEGO flowers, going to the hairdresser and spending time with the horses. Hopefully I can keep that up while also working!

I have one new eARC, I couldn’t help mself when I saw the title haha. A Good Place to Hide a Body by Laura Marshall is about Penny who gets a call from her parents. When she goes to them to help them it turns out they need help covering up a murder they commited. I can’t wait to find out how that all went down and what will happen!

I actually finished 2 books! Both Fence vol. 6 and Saga vol. 11, obviously super fast reads but also ones I loved. I’m still reading House of Flame and Shadow but I’m really close to finishing this one, hopefully in the next few days. After that I’m not sure yet, I might be in a bit of a slump afterwards…

I watched a lot last week! Drive to Survive, Avatar the Last Airbender, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, My Life with the Walter Boys, the first episode of season 2 of Will Trent and I’m trying to finish the last season of Ted Lasso. A lot to enjoy!

I have been listening to a lot of music! Mostly stuff I’ve found through TikTok to be honest, they keep hitting me with great recommendations haha. They’re all in my personal year list (that goes from birthday to birthday so it’s a long one right now!), I’ve been listening to everything but the ones at the bottom are the latest added.
