I recently shared that I bingewatched Avatar the Last Airbender and that I was really excited for the live action version coming to Netflix. The show is airing February 22nd and we have a trailer for it. So I wanted to share my first thoughts upon seeing that. Let’s dive in!

A young boy known as the Avatar must master the four elemental powers to save a world way, and fight against an enemy bent on stopping him.

Like I said, after watching all of ATLA I have been really excited about the live action version. Just a little over 2 weeks until we’ll be able to watch it!

The Netflix trailer dropped recently and I really like the look of it! I think the visuals are great and the characters look amazing. Based on the trailer I have high hopes.

There have been some comments that have me worried though. Apparently they want this to not be a show just for kids and more like Game of Thrones. Also, there won’t really be any side quests…. I have to say, this all has me worried. The side quests are some of my favourite parts of the whole show and the way we meet some of my favourite characters. I’m curious to see how they’ll go about that.

While I still hope the show is going to be great, reading all of that did lower my expectations somewhat. There is a good chance I’m going to be disappointed. We’ll know after February 22nd ;). What do you think? Will it be good or will we hate it? Let me know in the comments down below!
