Bookish Item | 24 in 2024 Part 3

Today it’s time for the final part of my 24 in 2024 list. The past two weeks I shared the first 16 books of the 24 I hope to read in 2024. I haven’t been reading that much the past few years so 24 backlist books is going to be a challenge for sure. Therefor these last 8 books will probably have a lower priority than the first books I shared. Nevertheless, I would love to read these as well this year. Let’s take a look!

17. The Cousins – Karen McManus

This one has been on a couple TBR lists over the year and I did start reading it. It was enjoyable so far but I put it down in favor of something else and just never picked it back up haha. I would like to get back to it this year, it’s the perfect read when you’re in the mood for a ‘simple’ mystery/thriller.

18. Lore – Alexandra Bracken

I really liked the Alexandra Bracken books I’ve read and even though it’s been a couple of years I’m still excited to read something else by her. This sounds like a cool story and I like that it’s a standalone. Sometimes it’s nice to have actually finished a story by the time you finish your book.

19. The Future of Another Timeline – Annalee Newitz

I love stories about time travel and I can’t believe I still haven’t picked this one up. It’s been on my TBR for over 4 years now. I’ve seen great reviews and think this could be a pretty fast read, it’s not super big.

20. Invictus – Ryan Graudin

Another book that has to do with time travel! I have been wanting to read this one for so long but somehow I never started reading it. The concept of time traveling thieves is something I adore and I think this could be a book I love a lot. Maybe 2024 is the year I finally read this one!

21. Wildcard – Marie Lu

Another one that has been on quite some TBR lists. It’s the conclusion to the Warcross duology so I would get another series out of the way with this one. I enjoyed Warcross more than I thought I would so hopefully Wildcard won’t disappoint.

22. Dreams of Gods & Monster – Laini Taylor

I have read the first two books in this series years ago and only remember the broad storylines. But I would love to finish the series and finally read this book. I adored the first two books and can’t wait to get back to this world.

23. King’s Cage – Victoria Aveyard

More series I’m already in the middle off but haven’t picked back up for years haha. I have two books left in this series but didn’t want to continue after being super disappointed by the second book. After seeing a lot of promising reviews for book 3 I have started it again but have yet to continue!

24. Mortal Heart – Robin LaFevers

And the final book is also a final book in a series. I really  enjoyed the first two books in this His Fair Assassin series even though it has been years. And I have heard nothing but great things about Mortal Heart so I should maybe make this more of a priority.

These are the final 8 books of the 24 I would love to read in 2024. It will be a challenge for sure but I would love to try and cross off as many as I can! Have you read any of these books? Any recommendations as to where I should start? Let me know in the comments!
