This past year I did a lot more rereading and I have been loving it! I have reread a lot of favorites so these are all already books I love a lot. Still, I thought it would be fun to do a ranking of these rereads. This is based on my enjoyment of the reread, how much I wanted to reread them again and I guess how invest in them I was. It’s all just a vibe haha, hopefully it’ll make some sense. Let’s take a look!
6. ACOTAR series – Sarah J. Maas
This series was my least favorite for sure. It reminded me that I never loved the first and third book in the series and once again solidified that this is my least favorite Sarah J. Maas series. I haven’t reread A Court of Silver Flames yet, but that one might be my favorite in the series haha.
5. Six of Crows duology – Leigh Bardugo
This duology remains one of my favorite series ever but I have to admit I forgot I had reread this one this year haha. Writing this post reminded me and I listened to the audiobooks to get ready for the second season of the tv show. Seeing as that is canceled, thinking about this reread also makes me a bit sad.
4. House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J. Maas
I did love rereading this and I can’t wait for the third book in the series, but since I am still working on the second book this reread is a bit lower. It took me a pretty long time to finish this, mostly because of how busy I’ve been. This is still great but other rereads were even better.
3. Daisy Jones & the Six – Taylor Jenkins Reid
I listened to the audiobook to get ready for the tv show and I loved it! So much so, that I listened to it again after watching the first episode of the tv show haha. I really recommend listening to the audiobook, it has a full cast and is just really well done. The only thing I was missing was being able to listen to the actual songs, but that is now possible due to the tv show so I have been doing that a lot this year!
2. The Foxhole Court trilogy – Nora Sakavic
I love this series so much. These characters have some questionable morals but I adore them nevertheless. I loved experiencing their journey again and wanted to restart my reread as soon as I was finished. Maybe I’ll do another reread this year haha.
1. Throne of Glass series – Sarah J. Maas
This remains one of my absolute favorite series ever. I’m so happy I reread it all this year. Just seeing where these characters started their journey while knowing how it all ends was amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. I have cried so many tears during this reread. Especially knowing what will come made some scenes absolutely heartbreaking. Just seeing a sentence or two can bring tears to my eyes. This was another reread I wanted to start again as soon as I finished it.
And that was my ranking of my rereads of 2023. I had so much fun rereading these books and I’m happy I’ve started to allow my self more time to reread. Since I haven’t been reading as much as I used to it was good to at least have been reading something. These rereads helped me enjoy stories again and also inspired me to read more. Hopefully I can keep this up in 2024! Have you been rereading anything in 2023? I would love to hear from you in the comments!
