We have mentioned a lot that this year has been flying by, but it truly has! How are we already talking about December book releases? The final month of 2023!
December is normally a quiet month when it comes to new books, but we still want to talk about our most anticipated releases, so keep on reading to find out what those are!
The Ruined – Renee Ahdieh (December 5th)
This is the conclusion to the Beautiful series, a series I really enjoy and need to finish asap! These covers are gorgeous and I’m super excited to see how it all ends. I can’t really predict where the series is going so I’m curious to see what happens next.
Yours for the Taking – Gabrielle Korn (December 5th)
This is an adult dystopian story and I’m really excited. I just to love YA dystopians but I haven’t read that many adult ones yet. And I’m curious to see how I’ll enjoy this one. Climate change effects are so severe that people aren’t safe outside anymore. Unfortunately this is too close for comfort and I can’t wait to see how it all goes down in this one.
This Spells Love – Kate Robb (December 5th)
Books with characters waking up to a different life are things that I love. In This Spells Love our main character does a spell to forget her ex after a bad breakup, but when she wakes up her life looks different and her ex doesn’t even know who she is. This makes turning back the spell quite difficult. I can’t wait to read this one.
Heartstopper vol. 5 – Alice Oseman (December 7th)
I loved the Heartstopper series so much and I have been looking forward to each new volume every time. This was supposed to be the final book in the series but I just saw there is going to be a sixth book! I’m really excited to read about these characters again and I’m happy we’ll have at least two more books before it’s all over.
Knives, Seasoning, & A Dash of Love – Katrina Kwam (December 19th)
So I’m a fan of cooking shows, so a romance with chefs? Sounds like something I’ll love. Our main character makes her resume prettier than reality is to get a job, but she also knows her boss from the past when he was definitely different. I have a feeling this is going to get messy.
Ruthless Vows – Rebecca Ross (December 26th)
Divine Rivals is a book that ended up being really hyped this year, so I wasn’t sure if I was going to read it. I’m glad I did though, because I couldn’t put it down. The ending left me wanting for more and I’m so excited Ruthless Vows is almost out in the world. I do have the UK edition, so I might wait to buy the physical book until January when it releases there.
What Waits in the Woods – Terri Parlato (December 26th)
What Waits in the Woods is a thriller, so I honestly don’t know too much about this one. I love going into these books knowing as little as possible. Someone I watch on YouTube talked about this one in an anticipated releases video, so I had to add it here.
So here are the books we’re looking forward to in December 2023! Do we have any in common? Or did we miss any you think we should know about? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
I can’t wait for the new Heartstopper either!
