Yesterday Candyce shared ten books she would like to read before the end of the year. I am not reading that much lately so there is no way I’m reading 10 more books before the end of 2023. But hopefully I will manage to read 5 more books. And if that’s the case, I hope to read these books. Let’s take a look!
1. Darkdawn – Jay Kristoff
I finally finished a book again and that was Godsgrave. It was wonderful to dive back into this world and to be so obsessed with a story again. So of course I want to read Darkdawn this year as well. It would be great to finish another series and I also really want to know how this story ends.
2&3. House of Earth and Blood & House of Sky and Breath – Sarah J. Maas
I’m actually already reading this one and I’m once again loving it. It annoys me that it takes me so long to read this one but it’s really good to be back with these characters. Also reading book 2 would be perfect but I’m not completely sure I will manage to finish both (BIG) books in the coming weeks.
4. A Master of Djinn – P. Djèlí Clark
This is an unexpected one! I started the audiobook and it grabbed me right away. The short stories in this world were wonderful and I was super excited for the release. It took me a while but I have finally started it. And so far I’m really enjoying it. With all the commuting I do, I’m pretty sure I will be able to finish this one before the end of the year.
5. The Brothers Hawthorne – Jennifer Lynn Barnes
I started this book as soon as it released but I just wasn’t reading anything at the time so I stopped. But I would love to pick it back up. I love these characters and I love Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ writing. Almost all of her books are ones I would highly recommend and would love to reread. So I have pretty high hopes for this one haha.
These are 5 books I would love to read before the end of the year. And for once I think I have a pretty good chance of actually reading these! I’ve started almost all of them and already know I enjoy them. Hopefully I can keep that up. What are you planning on reading? Let me know in the comments!
Dark Dawn and the Sarah J Maas books are so good! I’m hoping to finish up Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere this year.
