Bookish Item| November TBR

So last month I posted about some of the books I want to read for Netgalley November. Of course, those won’t be the only books I’m reading throughout the month. I have been loving to be able to just mood read, so that’s what I’ll mostly be doing, but I want to talk about my book club/group reads, and backlist books to read. So keep on reading for my November TBR!

Group Reads/Book Club

Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date – Ashley Herring Blake

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care and Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail have been two of my favorite romances and I’ve been anxiously awaiting for Iris’ story. We’ve met her in the previous books and I’m excited to see her get her happily ever after! I am sad that this will be the last book in this series though.

Yellowface – R.F. Kuang

Yellowface released in May and I’ve actually added it to my TBR a couple of times. Like I said, I’ve been a mood reader for the last few months. That being said I still want to read the story of our main character who steals a manuscript after her friend dies.

Golden Son – Pierce Brown

A friend and I did a buddy read of Red Rising in September and we decided we’re going to pick up Golden Son this month. Both of us are curious about Darrow’s story. I’ve heard quite a few times that this series gets better as it goes and I enjoyed the first book, so I’m very curious to see why they think that.

New Releases

Iron Flame – Rebecca Yarros

So this probably isn’t a surprise for a lot of people, haha. Fourth Wing went viral in May and the sequel is releasing next week. After the ending of that book I need to see where this goes. Even though I’m afraid for another major cliffhanger, because this is a five book series.

The Way I Am Now – Amber Smith

After reading The Way I Used to Be and how it ended, I need to pick up The Way I Am Now. I want to see where Eden’s story will go and how this character is doing after the ending of the first book.

Check & Mate – Ali Hazelwood

Ali Hazelwood has become one of my favorite romance authors and Check & Mater is her first YA book. This is a book about rival chess players and it seems some other emotional things.

Betting On You – Lynn Painter

Lynn Painter has become one of my favorite authors and her next release is Betting On You! I actually have an eARC of this, so I’ll be reading it before it releases. Our main characters start making jokes if couples will get together while working at their summer job. One also says people of the opposite sex can’t just be friends. We all know this will be an interesting bet.

Backlist/Physical TBR

Perfect on Paper – Sophie Gonzales

Our main character gives free love advice to classmates and collects the notes/questions from a locker. When someone catches her, she has to agree to be his dating coach. I can already see how this is ending, but it sounds like my kind of read!

The Honey-Don’t List – Christina Lauren

Books with couples who have to pretend to like each other (in this case in a home remodeling TV show, I think) can be so much fun to read about. I’ve had this book on my shelf for three years. It’s really time for me to read it, haha.

Forever, Interrupted – Taylor Jenkins Reid

Taylor Jenkins Reid is an author that always hits me in the feels in one way or another. I’m slowly working through her backlist. Forever, Interrupted was a book I got for my birthday I think. I didn’t know this was her debut book, but it sounds like it’s going to be heartbreaking.

So that’s my November TBR. Who knows if I’ll actually stick to all of these, but they’re what I’m thinking at the moment, haha. Have you read any of these? Or what are you reading this month? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.

  1. I set a loose tbr for November because I really haven’t been sticking to them. But I definitely will be reading Iron Flame this month. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
