WWW Wednesday #47

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

The Way of Kings – Brandon Sanderson

As I said in my last WWW Wednesday I was about 800 pages in this 1200+ page book. I’m still very happy with my choice to read along with the audiobook. The Way of Kings was such an amazing ride and how everything came together was just brilliant. After reading that ending I’ll definitely read the second book soon.

Flawless – Elsie Silver

I flew through Flawless and it only took me a bit longer, because I had to read a couple of things for book clubs. While reading I had a smile stuck on my face. The characters annoyed me a bit near the end, but all in all a definite five star read. I can’t wait to continue this series.

Cat + Gamer Vol. 1&2 – Wataru Nadatani

I bought this manga a few months ago and finally sat down to read it. This was such a cute series and I can’t wait until the next volume is out in the world. I’m not a gamer myself, but I loved seeing the main character trying to learn to live and take care of a kitten.

What are you currently reading?

Good Bad Girl – Alice Feeney

I started my buddy read of Good Bad Girl on Monday and it’s being told through a few POVs. I’m loving it so far and I really have no clue where this is going to go! I went in pretty blind like I always do with thrillers and I’m hoping it surprises me in an amazing way.

Still Beating – Jennifer Hartmann

Still Beating is a pretty popular book in the romance world and I know it’s dark. That being said I’m really curious. I’ve read three chapters so far and I’m intrigued. Our main characters were just abducted and I know it’s going to be a rough read before it all ends.

Addicted to You – Krista Ritchie & Becca Ritchie

This is another book that’s pretty well known in the romance world that I’ve wanted to read for ages. Our two main character both have addiction problems and were pretending to be together. They actually really both feel something for each other and I have a feeling this is going to be a roller coaster of emotions.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Powerless – Lauren Roberts

I’ve been in a fantasy mood and if I can get some romantasy I would be very happy. Powerless is a book that’s already out in the UK, but won’t be in the US until November. I have an eARC and paperback now and have heard nothing but amazing things. I don’t know much about this book, but I’m excited.

The Night in Question – Kathleen Glasgow & Liz Lawson

At the moment I’m in a mystery/thriller mood and I loved The Agathas earlier this year. I’ve been trying to continue with series, so The Night in Question is high on my list of books I want to read ASAP.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read any of these? Or have you recently read anything amazing? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.

  1. “Flawless” sounds like the book I just finished “While reading I had a smile stuck on my face.” – SAME! I really need a book like that sometimes (I consider it a palate cleanser because I tend to go towards some heavy, deep & real reading). In between those books I need lighthearted, fun & flirty romances! I just finished “Pretend with Me” by Emily Mayer (It’s the first book in a series called Beacon Hill). I have to say that I love a snarky leading lady and Sutton, didn’t disappoint. She heads back to her small southern hometown to help her dad who recently had an accident and is recuperating. Nothing has changed except for the fact that her ex-model sister is getting married into the St. James family (local town “royalty”) Not to mention her childhood crush. But now, it seems Sutton is falling for his brother, Holden. This is a true opposites attract love story that I couldn’t put down and it definitely kept me smiling. Check out this romance series – https://emilymayerbooks.com/ and Happy Reading!
