We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Once again I had two busy weeks at work, but coming week looks to be a lot more chill. My weekends were filled with horse riding, hosting a big competition at the stables and trying to get some sleep haha. I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since I wrote my last Royal Update because I feel like I haven’t done anything besides working. In about 3 weeks I will have gotten the keys to my new house and I expect the life updates might be a bit more interesting then as I can show off what I have been doing in my house by then!

I have one new eARC I just couldn’t resist. The Floating Hotel by Grace Curtis is described as The Grand Budapest Hotel in space and is supposedly perfect for fans of Becky Chambers. A hopeful story of misfits, rebels and found family. Count me in!

I have finished A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight and somehow I have finally read and finished Five Dark Fates! It may seem unbelievable, but I finally picked it back up haha. And now I have to say I’m not sure what to read. I would love to cross something else off my TBR and I still have an audible credit to use so I could use some suggestions.

You might have seen the news already, but Leigh Bardugo announced a new adult, standalone, historical fiction book coming out April 2024! The story is based on her family history and I can’t wait to read The Familiar.

I have hardly been watching shows these past weeks. After work I’ve been too tired to do anything to be honest. The only thing I have watched it Only Murders in the Building, I love that show so much <3.

I feel like a bit of a broken record but I have just been listening to Taylor Swift and to Olivia Rodrigo’s new album. And I may continue doing just that for a while longer haha.
