TTT #307| Books on My Fall 2023 To-Read List

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books on My Fall 2023 To-Read List.

Binding 13 & Keeping 13 – Chloe Walsh

So the first two books in the Boys of Tommen series released in 2018, but are just now starting to get a lot more hype. They’ve also been picked up by a traditional publisher. This is a new adult rugby romance. From what I’ve heard it’s very slow burn and the books are huge (800+ pages), but they sound right up my alley.

Every Exquisite Thing – Laura Steven

I’m actually not a horror fan, but Laura Steven is one of my favorite authors and Every Exquisite Thing sounds amazing. This book is a feminist YA-horror-thriller retelling of The Picture of Dorian Gray. That’s all I really know and I want to go into this book not knowing more than this.

Pack Up the Moon – Kristan Higgins

Pack Up the Moon actually released two years ago, but I just recently heard about it while watching a BookTube video. In that vlog she finished this book and I know it’s going to make me cry. The main character received a letter every month for a year after his wife passes away. I mean that’s already sad enough as is. I have to say this book gives me P.S. I Love You vibes and I’m curious to see how this one is written.

Iron Flame – Rebecca Yarros

After the hype of Fourth Wing, I’m sure it’s not a surprise that Iron Flame is on my list. The ending left me needing to know how Violet’s story continues and what this world has in store for us. The book is almost 700 pages, so I’m thinking it’s going to be quite the ride.

Bunny – Mona Awad

Bunny is a book I keep hearing amazing things about and it seems to be one that so many people have loved. I picked up a copy earlier this year and reading this on a rainy day sounds like a great plan. Again, I don’t read much horror, but this is another exception. I know nothing about this book and I’m keeping it that way until I sit down to read it.

Immortality: A Love Story – Dana Schwartz

Earlier this year I read Anatomy: A Love Story and I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting. Immortality: A Love Story is the second and final book of this duology. The first book left us with quite a few question and I need to see how Hazel’s journey wraps up.

The Beautiful – Renee Ahdieh

It’s been four years since this book published and the fourth and final book is about to release. I actually started reading The Beautiful, but got distracted like I tend to do. Isabelle enjoys this series and I have a feeling I will too. So it’s time for me to finally get going on this one.

Sign of the Slayer – Sharina Harris

As a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer I love seeing books that have that aspect. In Sign of the Slayer we follow our main character at a slayer academy. I have a feeling I’m going to love this one.

As Good As Dead – Holly Jackson

I loved the first two books in the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, so why I haven’t finished this trilogy yet? No clue, haha. Pip still has one more story and I’ve heard amazing things about it. It’s time for me to finish another series.
