5 On My TBR| Best Friends

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Best Friends. I was looking through my TBR and there wasn’t anything jumping out, so I decided to change the prompt a bit. I decided to talk about five friends to lovers romances on my TBR. Let’s take a look!

People We Meet on Vacation – Emily Henry

People We Meet on Vacation is the only Emily Henry book that I haven’t read yet. Poppy and Alex are best friends even though they’re complete opposites. Something happens that ruins that and they don’t talk for two years. Then they go on one final vacation together. I can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

Faking with Benefits – Lily Gold

So Faking with Benefits is actually a reverse harem, but it does start out with friendship. Our main character is 28 and has never had a boyfriend. After another bad date her three protective best friends decide to teach her how to date. So it also has my favorite trope: fake dating!

Not Here to Stay Friends – Kaitlyn Hill

Two childhood friends reunite to spend the summer together after being apart for five years, but things get complicated on the set of his dad’s new teen reality dating show. Some feelings may start to develop that no one was expecting. This sounds like so much fun.

Take a Hint, Dani Brown – Talia Hibbert

After loving Get a Life, Chloe Brown I’m actually really surprised I haven’t read Take a Hint, Dani Brown. This has friends to lovers, but also a fake dating aspect after a video of our main characters goes viral. I need to make this one a priority!

The Cheat Sheet – Sarah Adams

So I’ve read When in Rome by Sarah Adams and really enjoyed it. The Cheat Sheet seems to be the other book that people seems to know this author from. Our main character is in love with her best friend and star quarterback. She accidentally admits this to a reporter when drunk and this forces them in to fake dating for a few weeks. I know this is going to be a fun one.

So here are five friends to lovers books on my TBR that I now want to read really soon after talking about them today. What are some of your favorite friends to lovers romances? Let me know in the comments. I’m always looking for more recommendations.
