Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Riley Wynn went from a promising singer-songwriter to a superstar overnight, thanks to her breakup song concept album and its unforgettable lead single. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m not really a romance or contemporary reader. But every now and then there is a book that catches my attention and that I do want to read. I’ve read some contemporary books I have adored and it nice to change up my reading every now and then.

You might’ve seen that I’m a Taylor Swift fan so when I saw that there was going to be a book inspired by her I was immediately intrigued. I haven’t read anything by these authors yet but Candyce has and she already added more of their books to her TBR. It’s always good to know that a trusted friend enjoys an author (or author duo in this case), that makes me think I might enjoy them as well! Candyce and I are usually pretty much on the same page when we read the same books.

I hope this book shares some of the lyrics of this songwriter main character, because that is something I really enjoy in books. In general I’m a big lover of music and it can be such a cool crossover. It looks like this will be a second chance romance and I have to say I haven’t read that many of those!
