We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I mentioned in my last Royal Update that I was in France, so that is basically what I was doing the past two weeks. By now I’ve been home for a couple of days but I will say I have carried on in the same manner haha. I’ve been relaxing, reading, eating some great food, playing games on my computer and once I’ve been home I’ve also been to the horses. Other than that I haven’t done much haha. This summer break has been all about relaxing for me and the fact that it’s raining daily hasn’t bothered me one bit.

I have one new eARC, Knife Skills for Beginners by Orlando Murrin. This is the first book in a new cosy mystery series and is set at a cookery school. Sounds like fun to me!

I finished Never a Hero and read Death Note Black Edition vol VI, Haikyu vol. 9-12 and My Sister, the Serial Killer. At the moment I’m still listening to Kingdom of Ash and I’m reading The Fragile Threads of Power. I’m not sure what I will be picking up after these. They’re both big, fantasy books so maybe I’ll dive into something lighter afterwards.

I haven’t watched that many shows, but I did binge Based on a True Story and I’ve been keeping up with Nancy Drew.

One of my favorite bands ever is Imagine Dragons so of course I have been listening to their Live in Vegas album non stop after it released last week. I adore their music and hope to come out with a new original album soon!

That was my Royal Update! It isn’t super exciting but like I said, I’ve been relaxing and I’ve been loving that for myself haha. Have you been doing fun, summer things? Let me know in the comments!
