It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Meet Your Match – Kandi Steiner
I’ve been loving sports romances lately and Kandi Steiner just started a new series. Meet Your Match is the first book. I have mixed feelings about this one unfortunately. I loved the concept of the romance and Vince was an amazing character, but Maven annoyed me quite a bit throughout the story. I will be reading the next book and I really hope Daddy P gets his own book.
Block Shot – Kennedy Ryan
After loving Long Shot I was really excited about reading Block Shot. Unfortunately, this one just didn’t work for me even after it started out strong. The trope in Block Shot is one that I can’t stand and the fact that the main character didn’t expect boundaries and it just rubbed me the wrong way.
That Summer Feeling – Bridget Morrissey
That Summer Feeling is a perfect summer read. A lot of romances have a lot of angst and drama, but this one didn’t have anything over the top. I loved the found family feeling that this adult camp had and how our main character was able to discover her sexuality on her own terms. This was just such a feel good read.
What are you currently reading?
Love, Theoretically – Ali Hazelwood
So far I’ve loved everything Ali Hazelwood has written. Love, Theoretically is keeping that streak going. I’m about halfway through and loving Elsie and Jack. The only thing I’d love to see differently is to get a dual POV. I think it would give just a little more if we got Jack’s POV as well.
Wasted Words – Staci Hart
At the moment I’m buddy reading Wasted Words with a bookish friend of mine. We’re only about 100 pages in, but I’m loving it so far. The main character manages a bookstore that also has a bar and comic book store all in one. That would be my dream job!
Terms and Conditions – Lauren Asher
After loving The Final Print it really took me way too long to finally start Terms and Conditions. I’m about 100 pages in at the moment and I’m already loving Iris and Declan. We’re starting to get glimpses of them being attracted to each other and caring about the other. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the story plays out.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Vengeful – V.E. Schwab
A friend and I have been buddy reading together and we’ve read some amazing books and we’re hoping Vengeful is the next book we’re starting. I read Vicious in 2020, so I’d say it’s time to continue with this series. Earlier this week I read the graphic novel, ExtraOrdinary, that belongs to this series, so I’m ready to go.
The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind – Jackson Ford
This is a book I got for my birthday in 2020 and never finished reading (I was over 100 pages in already), but I suggested it for my in person book club and it was voted for. So it’s time for me to sit down and read this one for our meeting the 29th.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read any of these? If so, let me know what you think? What are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
I have The Fine Print in my TBR already. I’m very intrigued but still a little cautious of starting a series. Also, The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind looks like a good one as well! Have a great rest of your week!
