It’s been quite some time since I did a post about five star predictions. I added a few to a couple of TBRs, but that’s about it. So I decided to do a post about some books I hope to read soon that I think will be five star reads. Keep on reading to find out what I hope end up to be amazing reads!
The Seven Year Slip – Ashley Poston
After loving The Dead Romantics, I have high expectations for Ashley Poston’s next adult romance. The Seven Year Slip reminds of the movie The Lake House. A man is in our main character’s late aunt’s kitchen, but he’s living seven years in the past. We all know they’ll fall in love, but it’s going to be complicated.
In the Lives of Puppets – TJ Klune
So I’m actually currently reading this. I’ve only read 53 pages, but it’s already had me feeling multiple things and laughing out loud. Klune has a special way with words and creates characters you can’t help but love. I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t end up being a 5 star read.
The Celebrants – Steven Rowley
Steven Rowley is the author of The Guncle and that book is one I still think about regularly. The Celebrants is Steven’s newest book releasing next week and I can’t wait to read it. A group of college friends seem to reunite every once in awhile to celebrate that life is worth living. It seems that all of these friends are still figuring things out and there may even be some secrets. I wonder if this book will be as emotional as The Guncle.
The League of Gentlewomen Witches – India Holton
I recently read The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels and that book surprised me in such a pleasant way. I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve read anything like it. There was humor, pirate houses, and characters that were a lot of fun. The League of Gentlewomen Witches is the next book in this series and I’m expecting and hoping to love this one just as much as the first.
The St. Ambrose School for Girls – Jessica Ward
If a book is set at a boarding school most of the time I don’t need to know more before I want to read it. The St. Ambrose School for Girls releases in July, but I’m very grateful I received an eARC to read it early. This is a coming-of-age thriller filled with secrets and deadly betrayal! Sign me up!
So here are a few of my five star predictions. Hopefully I can write a post soon and say that all or most of these lived up to my expectations! What books do you want to read soon that you’re expecting to be five star reads? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
