As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is siblings. I love when stories have siblings. It can be very complicated, but also really interesting to read about. Here are five books on my TBR that involve siblings that I need to read soon!
Five Dark Fates – Kendare Blake
Three Dark Crowns is a series I devoured as it released, but for some reason I still haven’t read Five Dark Fates (the final book of the series). These three sisters have been battling each other for the throne and it’s been intense. I need to find out how it all plays out and who ends up with all of the power. I don’t like them all equally, so this will be interesting!
You’d Be Home Now – Kathleen Glasgow
I’ve only read one book by this author, but You’d Be Home now sounds like another emotional read. Our main character ends up in a car accident with her brother and that’s when comes to light how bad her brother’s addiction was. Emmy lives in a small town and everyone seems to have an opinion. This sounds like it’ll also be a coming of age story and I’m curious to find out more about these characters.
The Cost of Knowing – Brittney Morris
The Cost of Knowing has been a book I’ve talked about quite a few times on the blog since it released. Brittney Morris wrote Slay and that ended up becoming a favorite of mine. Our main character has the power to see the future. His life is turned upside down when he sees his brother’s death. I have a feeling he’s going to try and prevent this and it’s going to be an emotional ride.
The Kingdom of Back – Marie Lu
This book has been on my TBR for three years, so it should be a book I sit down and read soon! The Kingdom of Back is a historical fiction with magical realism. I’ve heard amazing things about this book and it’s about Mozart and his sister. Also, the cover is absolutely stunning!
The Kinder Poison – Natalie Mae
The Kinder Poison isn’t a book I’ve seen often, but the times I have heard people talking about it they were really positive. It sounds pretty intense, because our main character is supposed to be a human sacrifice for three heirs willing to do anything for the throne. I love stories with royalty and politics and I have a feeling I’ll get both with this book.
Here are five books that have siblings on my TBR. I’m hoping to read some soon. Have you read any amazing books with siblings? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to add more to my TBR.
I love stories abt siblings!! I have not read any of these books so thanks for the recs!
Either read five dark dates or I come for you
